Friday Question: Who Would You Fight?

You're about to battle a monster.  Choices are The Mummy, The Monster, a vampire or a ghost.  I'm thinking of going the easy route and unraveling The Mummy.  Although I could use a big blowtorch on the Monster of Frankenstein, but that would be hard to do because he's my favorite.

I don't think I'd win against a vampire, unless garlic really works or I could trick him into the light.  And a ghost?  No idea how to fight that one?  Not a clue.

In the spirit of Halloween, which monster do you fight?

  1. I'm thinking the Mummy would be the easiest. Blowtorch would work well on him.

  2. I would definitely take on Frankenstein's creation. Since he is an essentially mechanical construct, he's the only one I could be sure of stopping without supernatural means at my disposal. The other three are all undead, so it's hard to know for certain how to stop them.

  3. I'd fight a ghost in daylight

  4. Ghost here too. We probably couldn't hurt each other. I'd just pull his sheet off.

  5. I'd take my chances with the vampire, a crucifix, a bulb of garlic and a SAD artificial light -- is that close enough to the sun?

  6. The ghost - since ghosts are ethereal, hopefully he/she couldn't hurt me.

  7. I guess I couldn't outrun them so I'll take on the vampire. I've watched enough Supernatural over the years that I know a lot of tricks.

  8. Isn't vampire kind of the obvious choice? You can always get a "time out" by pulling a crucifix, and even if you lose there's the possibility you end up all immortal and sparkly like those kids in Twilight.

  9. The vampire. The worst of them would be that mummy, with all the tricks he's got up his wrapped sleeves, but vamps, it's just a matter of staking them after pointing and asking if that's Kristen Stewart walking by.

    1. So funny William, as always.

Just show the sparkly vampires the horrible book that they are based on and they will die of embarrassment, with sparkles !
No need for garlic, a spike or a cross.

      cheers, parsnip

  10. I'd try to take on the vampire with whatever means (myth or fact) is supposed to work. Worst case scenario, I get bitten and become immortal :)

  11. I'd go with Vampire too. I've watched enough Buffy that I must have learned a few things.

  12. I would go with a ghost but I would try to make friends with it. So many possibilities when you are friends with a ghost.

  13. Depends. Does the mummy paralyze with terror on sight and inflict a rotting disease when it touches you, or not?

  14. I'll go with Monster. He walks kinda slow, so even I can outrun him. The Mummy might also be an easy choice. But ghosts can pass through walls and vampires can turn to smoke and come through keyholes.

Fight any of them? Only if I find I can't get away from them!

  15. Definitely the ghost ... being ethereal an all.

  16. Of course, while we're at it, we could add the Invisible Man and the Phantom of the Opera to the equation.
