Remember these? Coated in white glazed-sugar and sticky fruit filling? I also remember the wax wrapper. Now I make my own but back then, I probably went with cherry or lemon as my top pick.
How about you?
PS: It's our wedding anniversary weekend and we are headed out soon to have some fun.
Have a groovy day and boogie booogie.
My mother used to buy those for our lunches where we were little. All that sugar....
ReplyDeleteSo much sugar.
DeleteI liked the apple and blueberry best. Mmmm... I'm sure they don't taste as good as I remember, so I won't bother ruining that memory and checking them out (because I do believe they're still sold). :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary 4/4/15!!
Thanks, Stacy.
DeleteYes, it is funny, the memory is better, I would not want to spoil that. Now it's homemade, only.
Green apple of course. Green apple pie makes Hulk poop. Big poop makes Hulk less grumpy.
ReplyDeleteSee, you are the perfect husband, for me. Smooch.
DeleteI remember the fruit pies, but I was more of a Ho Ho, and Ding Dong girl. That just doesn't sound right, does it? Have a very happy anniversary, Ivy!
ReplyDeleteJulie
That sounds funny, which is always welcome. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteHappy anniversary to you both. Don't think we had those in the UK.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jo!
DeleteHappy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteThanks. We have four days off.
DeleteHave a good time tonight.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Two staycation days done, two left to go. Woohoo!
DeleteOMG, I totally remember those. Big fan of cherry (though I went through a lemon-only phase at one point).
ReplyDeleteYou guys have fun on your outing!
Hahaha, we are similar like that. Did Tim tell you? He's got his co-workers hooked on Pop Tarts.
DeleteI remember the green guy - I think I dated him once. But, as to those yummy treats, I think he was holding out on me.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your anniversary outing… or inning… you never how these things play out! (as a huge Meat Loaf fan you gotta know that Paradise by the Dashboard Light is playing in the background)
Have fun!
Now that song is going through my head too. Fun song, I enjoy Meatloaf.
DeleteAre you having fun with AZ?
I've seen them when I worked at a grocery store
ReplyDeleteHappy getting ready for your wedding.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
Thanks, Birdie - I love that you know how to do these and share them with us. Thanks bunches and boogie boogie.
DeleteWe never had them when I was little ... a very long long long time ago.
ReplyDeleteThe kids rarely had them. But cherry and lemon was the best when we did.
Happy Anniversary and have a great weekend.
cheers, parsnip
Love that dog ball that you got, so fun. The video was great to see. Happy Square Dog Friday and boogie boogie.
DeleteRemember them? I still buy them!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary!
Tim still likes them as well.
DeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteHow many years?
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I know those were in a lot of comics from many years ago.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! :)
ReplyDeleteThey look very familiar but I can't quite place them. Maybe I just never liked them?
