Just about to dive into a hot bowl of organic chicken soup, with locally raised organic chicken legs. I like leg and thigh meat best for chicken soup. Tastes better to me, and it's less mess than simmering an entire bird.
What's to eat at your house today?
Met a bud and had Bruschetta. Yum.
ReplyDeleteIvy, were you saying Organic Virgin Coconut Oil works as face cream?
Yes, I love it also on my hands. I buy all kinds of coconut oil but only use the organic virgin for skin. I make toothpaste from it as well as apply the coconut oil to minor scratches.
DeleteAre you considering giving it a go?
Sounds a great lunch.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile here in the UK we've just enjoyed fish for dinner with buttery mashed swede and broccoli. I think you call swede rutabaga!
All the best Jan
Hi 'Jan'
DeleteYours sounds good, too.
I had soup that our neighbour brought over and dry toast.
ReplyDeleteThat was nice of them. What kind of soup?
DeleteChicken broth, yogurt and jello. Anything that I don't need to chew, LOL!
ReplyDeleteUnderstandable. Hope you get lots of rest, tonight.
DeleteI think I'm having salmon steak for dinner tonight.
ReplyDeleteWild or farm? Either way, enjoy.
DeleteThat's a super fun illustration.
ReplyDeleteIt's cheese and strawberries here today. The first strawberries are amazingly good.
Thanks. Strawberries, YUM.
DeletePlease Ivy keep that between us: I had roasted chicken breast with fries... There was no legs, maybe they are the one you got? LOL
ReplyDeleteI was wondering who got the rest of my bird.
DeleteProbably picking up a pizza before I go home.
ReplyDeleteSounds good. We had that for supper, too. Only I picked at mine.
DeleteI picked up some garlic chicken legs from Costco today.
ReplyDeleteHow'd it taste?
DeleteYum! that certainly beats what I've had today--canned ravioli...as decent as it was for what it was! Oh, and I had toast-- both french toast and regualr toast later. Not terribly healthy, must say. OH!! And yes, some choc digestives as drawn the other day. three of them to be exact. Oh dear me.
ReplyDeleteWe have a few places that sell the digestives here. Imported. Didn't you have any peanut butter today?
DeletePretty sure I commented yesterday...where did it go?
ReplyDeleteI also made a big pot of chicken sop today,Ivy...
And...pepper steak over no yolk noodles...yum!
Cheers!
Linda:o)
Errr...that should read "soup".....GAWD!
DeleteHahaha, I read soup the first go.
DeleteSounds so yummy! And I bet your house smells so amazing all the time with the meals you create.
ReplyDeleteI love that drawing! Your quirky additions are so much fun.
Thanks and Happy Blogger Break. Enjoy and we'll catch ya' on the flip side.
DeleteDidn't have lunch today, as I was in class, but dinner wasn't much of anything really...some beans. ha ha!
ReplyDeleteLove beans. How was class?
DeleteI never knew that you could make chicken soup without the whole bird. Thanks for the great suggestion, Ivy!
ReplyDeleteJulie
Sure thing, Julie - I always do because I don't enjoy white meat in my soup.
DeletePlease let me know if you give it a go and enjoy it.
Pork Chops and home made wedges in olive oil :-)
ReplyDeleteIan
Yum!
DeleteHo Hos.
ReplyDeleteBest answer.
