744 Posts & Tabletop Sunday at The Manor

Here's what my work bench looks like.  Or, my idea of a tabletop game.  Making dough, using Paul Hollywood's Pizza Base.  Love this dough because it's super workable.

What I do though, is shape six portions before the first prove/rise/fermentation.  This way, when I go to use them, they're ready to shape into pizza rounds or sub rolls.

No muss, no fuss.  Just good simple food.

Meanwhile, my sore throat is gone and Poopyhead and the pups are now awake from their nappy naps.  And, I just heard Ghost Adventures go on in the movie room.

It's a real nice Sunday, here at The Manor.

PS: I just realized this is post 744.  Hot dog.

This container may rest in or out of the fridge,
depending on when I want to bake.

  1. Can you freeze them? Not that I'd mind pizza for six meals straight.

    1. You could try. I'm not big on frozen dough. Rather, I leave the balls in the fridge for when I'm ready.

That being said, I will sometimes make pizzas, and freeze those for my idea of fast food, later.

These though are only 72g balls. Designed for personal pan servings.

  2. Now I'm thinking about making my own pizza dough this week along with a hundred other things I need to do. Happy Sunday

    1. Tim got me that at Barnes with a coupon. It's bamboo. Really nice and folds away neatly.

    2. so delightful! Back in the old days when the publishers used to send me paper copies of books to translate instead of the ones in Word or PDF, I wanted to buy somekind of holder which would hold the book open in front of my computer while I translate, but we don't have such things here.... and now most publishers send just electronic copies

    3. I love paper copies. Though I try and read from the tablet, books, I still like in book form.

Do you enjoy your translating job? It sounds neat that you get to work from home, too.

    4. I enjoyed it when I had it... due to this crises all publishers have more or less ceased their work and I've only translated about two books in last two years :(((

    1. I am happy it is. Didn't want it to turn into a full-blown cold or worse. I tell ya, resting in the movie room was a big help. So easy.

      How went your weekend?
