Today starts our NINE DAY staycation. And the best part is that we don't have ANYTHING scheduled. Each day, we can do whatever we ding dong well please.
Now that's good livin'.
Here's some shots from my bakery. My bench faces the back deck. And I tell you, I love it. When we get our house, I hope to be lucky enough to have a view this great.
Cheers and boogie boogie.
Looks like a beautiful morning! Enjoy your staycation. Your girls are just too cute!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kris. Have fun at your moms, getting stuff ready for the big yard sale.
DeleteA clear schedule is the way to go because spontaneity is the best! We have done many, many staycations over the years, and just let each day unfold as it may. I hope you have a great time together.
ReplyDeleteThat view is the best! It sure looks relaxing. And I love your dogs. They are so cute. They must really enjoy being out there.
Thanks, Martha. Yes, that's how we like to roll. Today we are farting about getting stuff done. Tim mowed the lawn, I'm making rolls and caramelizing onions. Soon to hit the paint store because we need a THIRD can of Lemon Tart.
DeleteHave a most excellent weekend as well with your honey bunny. Cheers and boogie boogie.
I hope you do find a house with a view like that. Enjoy nine days of whatever you want.
ReplyDeleteSounds even better when you say it. Nine days of whatever we want. Heaven.
DeleteEnjoy your weekend :-)
Love the fur babies. Your view is awesome. Enjoy your staycation...those are the best kind.
ReplyDeleteThanks bunches. Got some food cooking now, gonna grill, make yummy things and just not worry about a ding dong darn thing.
Deletea good view from the working surface in the kitchen is such a bliss.... I don't have it, though :( Is that a forest around your place?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a forest but it only goes back a wee bit. Then after is a field, then more trees. The land belongs to a very nice man, that lets us use it. He said we could remove the trees and plant a garden but I just don't have the heart to take the trees down.
DeletePlus, they make the back cooler, come hot summer days, of which we don't get many, but it's still nice just the same.
Whatever drew their attention, the dogs seem very alert!
ReplyDeleteChipmunk. Bug hasn't been able to catch him yet. She does try though.
DeleteWhat a delightful sight. Happy dogs relaxing on soft blankets, a gorgeous view of the trees, and bread about to be baked. I can smell it now :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your stayaction!
It's been one of those super easy-going kind of days that I just love. Do you bake?
DeleteHmm ... occasionally. Have got a convection oven ... which is positively useless. They're supposed to be good. Not the case for mine. Bloody thing ..
DeleteOh, no. I'm sorry to hear it's not working. I have a small fan oven on the counter and we love how much better the bakes fluff up, and evenly brown.
DeleteHave you tried lowering the temp from any recipe you try? I find I don't need to heat the fan oven as high and the regular one. Or even, bake as long.
Gosh, I hope you can get it to work because having a fan oven is an amazing baker's tool.
So I've heard. Yep, lowered the temperature. I suspect it needs to go to the great oven-graveyard-in-the-sky. And I will gladly put it there (with a swift kick) when I save up for another one.
DeleteOh, I am sorry you got a bummer one. Someday when we get our house, I'll be buying a big fan oven. But I'll still keep our little one because it does small batches so nicely.
DeleteSorry yours doesn't. May I know what brand you bought?
BAUMATIC is the brand. It burns everything around the edges. Doesn't make sense considering air is being forced 'equally' around the oven.
DeleteI shall not be buying that brand again.
I will note this name because I want my fan oven to bake evenly. The little one for the counter does, but when I get a big one, I for sure want to know what brands suck and what ones, don't. Thanks.
DeleteAnd again, sorry yours is not good.
Aren't decks the best?! I love mine - spend half my summer out there :)
ReplyDeleteTim thought you said something other than decks. He's just terrible.
DeleteI love the dogs happy and relax, what life dear:)
ReplyDeleteBeauty pictures!
Thanks, Gloria. What are you baking today?
DeleteEnjoy a happy and relaxed staycation!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debra. I miss your blogs.
DeleteI have a feeling your dogs hope for the same great view with your house! Congrats on the kickoff of your staycation.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right.
DeleteHow goes your weekend? Doing any grilling?
I got my stay-cation in my very near future.

ReplyDeleteWe put them out on there to poop them out.

ReplyDeleteWonderful! I love the view and am so happy to have an unscheduled staycation, those are the best! Enjoy every second my friend.
