Today we're both home resting. Tim with his tummy rumbles, and me with a left leg limp. It's not so bad though, we still have 2.5 days left of staycation, food in the fridge, doors locked, windows bolted, and phones unplugged.
Meanwhile, I'm out back writing long-hand, waiting for dough to ferment, as the pups work on their tans, and Tim enjoys the new Movie Room. And even though we're not feeling our best, there's still nowhere else I'd rather be.
How 'bout you? Are you a home person? Or would you rather be out and about until the wee hours of the morning? Us? We enjoy being out, but at the core, we're homebodies.
I thought I was following you but somehow I got lost ?ReplyDelete
Love your blog and need to follow you and Norma"s how to get free stuff.
I like staying at home more. It is so hard for me to walk and I don't like huge sneezing/coughing crowds of people and bratty children. Now that temps are over 100 home feels pretty good.
Glad you found your way back. Welcome to my little corner of the world.Delete
Free stuff is fun. Are you interested in couponing?
Over 100 already. Wow. And I read your blog today about the fires and your house. I'm sorry you and your family had to go through that. My gosh.
Some days I feel the need to be a homebody. Other days, not so much!ReplyDelete
Balance is good. That's the best. But if you had a choice between a full weekend of out and about until the wee hours of the morning, or a weekend home doing whatever you wanted, which would you fancy more?Delete
For the most part, I'm a homebody. No parties for this girl.ReplyDelete
No parties for this girl, either.Delete
I'm more of a home person. I occasionally enjoy being somewhere else (although I hate getting there -- travel sucks) but I've never been the sort of person who needed to be out among crowds of people till the early hours on any regular basis. When I travel, it's usually to see friends. Otherwise, my husband and I do cruises to see other countries (but mostly we like relaxing on the ship, and that doesn't mean the bars and clubs), or a few times we've gone to stay a week in a city we like. We still don't go out partying, though.ReplyDelete
I spend most of my time hanging out online [cough] or reading, or playing computer games. I nap if I feel like it, and stay up late (reading, writing, browsing the web) if I feel like it. Even as a teenager, I was never into parties for the sake of parties.
Tim and aren't bar people either. Unless it's a bookshoppe cafe bar serving fun drinks, surrounded by lots of books and magazines.Delete
Thanks for stopping by and boogie boogie.
I think I'm just the same - I like going out and doing social things, but at the core I love being home more. I need a certain amount of quiet time at my house chilling out, more than I need social interaction.ReplyDelete
Isn't that quiet time the best?Delete
Home, absolutely. We used to like going out when we were younger. But grown-up life forces us to be out so much anyway that we now prefer to stay in.ReplyDelete
Ha, that's true. I never saw it that way before. Grown-up life does force us to be out so much.Delete
Wishing you and Mrs. Bard a great weekend.
Home wins every time. It's where my "stuff" is and I know where that "stuff" is. Only place I can truly relax away from the madding crowd. "Hell is other people" as my old pal Sartre used to say ;-)ReplyDelete
We've got a relaxed weekend planned (once Rachel gets back from the new office - she's supervising the redecoration before the 'big move' from the old to the new next month).
Enjoy your staycation!
My stuff, that's great. And true.Delete
I remember you telling me about Lady Rachel's hard work. Does she like how it all came out?
I'm an extremely home person. This is why not having one is so hard .... I was never much of an outgoing person, I like the coziness of homeReplyDelete
You don't know one of your own? We have a trailer. We own it but we're shooting for that house.Delete
My stay-cation starts tomorrow :)ReplyDelete
Woohoo! Your girl too? Or just you?Delete
I'm a homebody, although once or twice a year I sojourn out.ReplyDelete
Once or twice a year. You party animal, you.Delete
I like to do stuff but I love just hanging out at home, too.ReplyDelete
That's us too. But if I had to pick we'd say homebodies, at the core.Delete
I'm definitely a homebody!ReplyDelete
There's no place like it.Delete
I think it just depends on what my mood is at the moment and if we have the funds to be out. Generally, I like to be here at the house, but I also really love to be able to get out and enjoy some different scenery.ReplyDelete
Scenery is good, it's nice to get out some.Delete
When I was younger I was definitely an out-and-about kinda gal. Nowadays, give me a cosy sofa, my furry family snuggled up next to me, a good TV show and a glass of vino any old day ... depending on the time of course!ReplyDelete
Of course, of course. Although it's nearly 5 at night here and I'm about to have my first cup of coffee for the day. Late for me.Delete
Im a really homegirl, I find my home comfortable, cozy and relaxing lolReplyDelete
Sometimes I love go out but Im really happy when I come back to home lol
That's us, too. Nice to go out. Better to come home.Delete
We are the same way. At the core we are homebodies, but we love being outdoors when the weather is nice. And even when we're out, it's somewhere that involves nature or nice scenery or a fun festival...not commercial places. We don't stay out late at night, and I have no interest in clubs or bars. I hope you are both feeling much better today!ReplyDelete
No clubs and bars for us either. Unless it's a bookstore cafe bar. That we enjoy.Delete
Happy Garden Week, to you. Can't wait to hear about all the fun you have.
I'm definitely a home person. Love to socializing too, but always happy to be home again.ReplyDelete
Yeah, that's it. Nothing like home.Delete
i love, love, love my home. so im absolutely a homey. great post. cheers!!ReplyDelete
Sounds like most of us here are, at the core, homebodies. I love it. Cheers and boogie boogie.Delete
