What a mess, eh?
It doesn't look exactly burnt, so did it taste okay? I mean, just because it's not pretty doesn't mean it's not good. Right?
Soggy bottom. But the ends that weren't soggy, had some nice flavors. But on the whole, it was a hot mess. Back to the drawing board.
PS: This bake is filled, or was filled, with meats and cheeses. That's what's oozing out.
It's just a little burnt. Scrape it off and enjoy anyway.
We ate around the soggy raw bits. The rest had to be tossed, sadly.
I'd eat it! But I love when the cheese oozes and gets crispy.

Is that the cheese getting out? That part where the cheese melts outside is usually the best one :)
Yeppers. Cheese and also some pepperoni. Blew out the whole dang side, it did. So we ate around it. The rest had to get tossed because it was raw dough.
Better luck next time!
teehee :) oops!
Oops would have been a good post title.
I still ate it! And I would do it again.
You ate the soggy bottom. And here I thought I put the better piece on your plate. Well, at least I caught it before you ate the second soggy piece.
Tim's mother used to hound him about all the poor, starving children in the world, so he couldn't bring himself to throw it out. What a guy! LOL
He seriously ate the raw bits.
Practice makes perfect, so just keep on baking on :) The rest of your stuff has been amazing, so this is just one of 'those' days!
A bad draft can't get me to stop baking - not ever. Besides, this is what I love, working out the kinks, finding better ways to get the bake right. It's all good fun.
one might call it a mistakethe dogs might call it lunch
The pups would LOVE to have gotten their little mitts on this mess.
All part of the fun.
Still looks edible though!
Some parts, the ends, but the soggy bits were too raw to eat.
Well I can't wait until this bake is perfected because that is going to an awesome loaf! Even though you describe some parts of it as soggy, I still kind want to eat that photo! YUM!! Did the silicone mat help with clean up?
The mat is interesting, and overall I like them. That being said, for this bake, I would have rather had baking paper. Even though the mat cleaned well, the smell of pepperoni and cheese remain, slightly.
Good to know.
I think my words might have been a tad stronger than that when I saw the explosion.
If only "someone" had mailed me one of those for my birthday. Tsk!Hehehehehehehe!
This is a bad one. You need a properly filled, nothing oozing out the sides, birthday loaf.
You could always send it off to a relative you dislike.
