Hmmm, well I guess at least it's organic??
So great to see you posting. I rejoined your blog and am all caught up. Woohoo to your upcoming girls night out.
Yes!! I'm glad to be back, pretty excited about the night out coming up too. Thanks!
Sure thing. Hope you have a blast.
I didn't need to know that...
No kidding. These kinds of waxes are on some fruit and veggies. Including but not limited to, eggplant, bell peppers and cucumbers.
Well, I'm glad I don't eat either.
So pleased I don't eat them !!!I'll taste the rainbow through different colour vegetables, much yummier and far healthier.Hope your week is going well. All the best Jan

Oh dear, why don't we know these things? But hey, tell the kids and maybe break them of a bad habit???Veggies too? Now that's not good - another excuse not to eat them too? Okay, fortify the water and I'm good, just not with bug shells and crap! :)
Bug Shells & Crap. I might have to use that for an upcoming post title. That's pretty good.
Ewwww. Somethings, it's better not to know. grin.
I am going to hazard a guess and say that this Fun Fact is not true.
I had to call a farm once and they confirmed that they used bug shells for added shine on their oraganic apples. Yum.
I knew that about shellac, but I didn't know a form of it was on skittles.
Taste that rainbow.
Shellac is just bug spit that has hardened, it's no different than the bee vomit we eat as Honey. Now, the dye called carmine, is actually crushed bugs.
The farmer told me they used crushed bugs on his shiney red apples, so you'd have to take that up with him :-)
O, Whisk...I have such a hard time staying up with you...(remember I'm very olden and have no clue whats going on most of the time..)...like "SSShhh...I'm huntin' bellies"???I try very hard not to question what's in or on foods...I have such a hard time with meat so I have to not think about it when I eat it....and I try not to eat it. :) Honey, shellac...chickens....I'm going on a liquid diet..LOL
Huntin' bellies is one of the most fun things, EVER. Though Hubby might not agree :-)
We read the FDA info on just "What" 9and How Much) of things are allowed in our foods... That is why we no longer drink milk...... Sometimes "ignorance is bliss", dear Lady Whisk...
Do you eat any dairy?
Taste that...rainbow of insect cocoons. Yum yum! :) I guess I'm missing out on the fun since I don't eat either!
Hmm, nothing like a little sprinkle of bugs. Though I see people eating roaches and spiders. I don't know if I could or not. Maybe that'll be an upcoming Friday Question.
