Happy Autumnal Equinox. I celebrate by making one private goal (to be completed during the three month season), and we both get small gift.
I love doing this because it's fun and it keeps life simple. I'm not into New Year's resolution lists that are longer than a trunk of a Snuffleupagus, because I find those goals boring and stale.
For me, it's one good goal. Bang it out in three months, then start fresh again with each new equinox and solstice.
And now, I'm gonna go eat an apple, unsweetened organic peanut butter and medjool dates. Yum, yum, yum.
Wishing you all an oogie boogie special day.
Happy Autumnal Equinox, Ivy! Rachel and I will be celebrating by watching Bake Off this evening ;-)
ReplyDeleteI see you've been turned into a Snoopy character. I was on there earlier today. Great fun.
DeleteBake Off ... BEST. SHOW. EVER !!!!
Rachel keeps telling me how much the 'Snoopy-me' looks like the real me ;-)
DeleteThat is so great. I have the link to show Tim when he gets home. I made one of him but didn't save it yet.
DeleteLove the new blog header!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tim. It's not my drawing. It came from a puzzle that I own. Love it though. And I enjoyed reading your interview over at the other Tim's page.
DeleteHappy Halloween.
Great goal. Happy Autumnal Equinox.
ReplyDeleteYou too :-)
DeleteHappy Autumn to you. It's beautiful here and a great start to the season.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear you had a great first day.
DeleteNew goal every three months - good idea!
ReplyDeleteBeen doing it this way for many, many years. Just easier and more fun for me. Thanks for dropping by and boogie boogie.
DeleteMy plans don't make it to the weekend so good luck with yours ;-)
ReplyDeleteIan
Thanks, Ian.
DeleteNot really goal oriented any more. One of the things about being retired. But good luck with yours. Good looking witch.
ReplyDeleteNo goals, ever?
DeletePS: Thanks. The witch isn't mine. Came from a puzzle that I have. So fun.
That's a good system!
ReplyDeleteI love it. And it comes with one little gift, too. How fun. Happy Harvest to you and your Rare One.
DeleteSmaller goals always work and make one feel so much better.
ReplyDeleteThank You for all your kind words on my post about Watson. I am fine, cried the first week, but all is well and just catching up on work that needs to be done.
cheers, parsnip
Good to hear you're doing well.
DeleteGreat new header.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your three month goal.
You do have fun rituals.
Do you have any fun rituals?
DeleteGoals definitely improve one's outlook on life, so good luck!
ReplyDeleteHappy Harvest, Pam.
DeleteA good idea!
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteHappy Fall! That's one healthy snack!
ReplyDeleteThat's usually my breakfast. Very easy on my belly. Happy Oogie Boogie Season.
DeleteAh, I like the one small goal in three months deal. That is a great sense of accomplishment instead of those 'I'm going to lose 75 pounds this year".
ReplyDeleteCute hair :-)
DeleteI love the new header.
ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn, or should I say Fall?
All the best Jan
I say both, but you say whatever tickles your fancy.
DeleteHappy Autumnal Equinox to YOU, from ME.
I love your system! Such a great idea. Happy autumn to you and your honey bunny. We've been having some pretty amazing weather, which is wonderful because we have some work to do outside. We're both exhausted but the house looks much MUCH nicer now. Can't wait to sell and get the heck out of here...hahaha :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn indeed. Very cool that the weather is good for you, especially when working outside.
DeleteI can't wait to ditch our place and move either. Man alive. Long time coming.
Love this idea. I actually celebrated this year by A) getting out and enjoying the day and B) baking some gingerbread and I want to incorporate more celebration, goal setting and gifts sounds delightful! I guess Disneyland can count for this year's gift ;)
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you excited about food. That was one good looking pizza, you posted. Cookies sound yummy, as well.
