Looks like my vacuuming/hoovering days are over. At least for now because my vacuum just died.
Dead, dead, dead.
Dunno why? Maybe it will restart. Funny thing, I was just thinking how much I dislike this model compared to my last one, and how I'd love my old one back or something like it and, boof. Igor died (that's his name). A new vacuum is not in our budget, so next time I'll be more careful about what I wish.
Meanwhile, I'll cover the pups in two-sided tape. At the very least, it should keep their hair from falling on the floor.
In the spirit of Igor, try a Victor Frankenstein experiment on the remains of Igor.
ReplyDeleteI might try that.
Deleteoh no, darn, hate when things break.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteTape and Swiffers. They can dust under the coffee table.
ReplyDeleteGet a Dyson. Great vacuums.
This is a Dyson. So was my last one. Though this newer one is not even close to as good as the old Dyson was.
DeleteI have a Dyson, that weighs a ton, and cost a fortune. I'd like a new one, but this one hasn't depreciated to zero yet, and I've had it for 15 years. Back breaking machine will outlast me! :)
ReplyDeleteIgor is a Dyson, and so was the last one. Igor starting working again. Whew. A new Dyson is not in the budget plan.
DeleteI hear Rainbows are nice machines, as well.
I'm so glad Igor is working again. I hate vacuuming. But then I hate housework of any kind.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you hate it? I love it. No kidding. But yes, thanks. Glad Igor is working again. Maybe he was pooped.
DeleteHousework causes warts......
ReplyDeleteNooooooo.
DeleteMan that sucks! Speaking of, I found something in Pinterest tonight, said I could pour vinegar on the stain in my carpet, poor baking soda on that and let it bubble up. Wipe away and then vacuum when it's dry ... Yea, it's like 1030pm. Should have waiting until tomorrow ... Ooops.
ReplyDeleteIgor started to work again later. Woohoo.
DeleteVinegar and bicarb (baking soda), is what I use to clean stuff all the time. Powerful combo. I also use it in my bakes. But I never tried it on carpets. Thanks for the idea.
Beware, may be recommended on light carpet. Unless I've done something wrong, which is also likely.
DeleteThanks for the tip. I will give it a go next time one of the dogs tracks in mud. Which should be any day now.
DeleteHow was girls night?
Ivy, thrift stores have electronics and furniture, perhaps you may find one at such a store? Not new, but at least one that works? Hey, why not? I love your animated vacuuming lady. LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. Igor is working again.
DeleteLOL oh to be you, what joy!!! lol wonderful whiski!!!
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteAh well, at least it had a good run.
ReplyDeleteHe started working again.
DeleteI feel for you! Mine is on death's door, and the thought of looking for a new one--even thought this one tried to kill me--stinks. I do like your temporary solution though. I can see you know, "Who wants a treat" as you slowly back up and they inch forward wagging their tails.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha. That I would do. Who wants a treat. So true. Hey, Igor started to work again last night. Woohoo. Sorry yours tried to kill you. What's up with these vacuums?
DeleteGlad Igor decided to keep going. I have a Riccar that I like. But it's heavy. Lugging it up and down stairs makes my shoulders sad.
ReplyDeleteThe older Dyson was heavier and this one that is on the verge of death is too, but it turns corners better. I'll google Riccar. Thanks.
DeleteNothing's made to last anymore!
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
DeleteDon't you just hate it when the vacuum packs up ...
ReplyDeleteIgor may feel better after a little rest ...?
All the best Jan
There was something stuck. Once we unstuckededededed it, all was good again.
DeleteI love that you name your appliances :) And Igor...hahaha...
