I really didn't get much done but rest and watch food on streaming video on the big screen, in the movie room. But I'm okay with needing a day of rest. And tonight, nothing fancy, just gonna bake a few organic chicken legs (for both) and heat up leftover homemade pizza (for Tim).
What are you having? Something yummy?
Love the cartoon. We are having home made veggie soup tonight.
ReplyDeleteLove, love homemade soup. I eat it each day. What kind did you make?
DeleteOne of those where you bung in lots of veggie depending on what you have in the fridge, always onions, carrots, celery for a starter.
DeleteI love the chuck it in method. Very nice.
DeleteToday, I used leftover lamb braising liquid for my base. Talk about yum.
I made meatballs, yummy.
ReplyDeleteWere they yummy? What kind of meat?
DeleteAlways good to get a bit of rest. You know, you can never have enough cookery shows on TV!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that the dog might leave me some chicken.
Gary :)
We don't have TV, but we do have streaming video to big screen TV. Dogs saving chicken? That might not happen, but I'll be sure and teleport you some.
DeleteSoup!
ReplyDeleteRest, relax, and come back stronger tomorrow!
How goes you? What kind of soup?
DeleteStill too tired to do any cooking here but I will figure something out. Not really hungry anyway.
ReplyDeleteYour comments on my blog do end up in spam but I find them and fish them out. ;-)
I'm sorry that you're not very hungry. Yes, I dislike WP because there's no reason for me to end up in the spam folder. Thanks for fishing me out.
DeleteRoasted Peameal bacon...scalloped potatoes..zuchinni...
ReplyDeleteStarted with a Greek salad...
How's that?
Cheers!
Linda :o)
No idea why that is all spaced out.....?
DeleteYou always have such lovely meals. I flippin' love Greek olives. YUM.
DeleteLeftover chicken and potatoes. I am not feeling well, so didn't want too much of anything.
ReplyDeleteOh no, sorry that you're not feeling well. Hope you are up to scratch, soon.
Delete@ HW:
ReplyDeleteTonight's dinner was totally depressing. I won't bring you down by telling you about it.
Actually, lunch wasn't that great either. Not a good day for eats, I'm afraid...
Oh, that's a bummer, JB. Here's hoping tomorrow brings better eats.
Deletenothing special here
ReplyDeleteNo pizza? No yummies?
DeleteAt lunch today, one of the women in the office brought in yummy homemade borscht and we all had a feast!
ReplyDeleteA feast you say? How fun.
DeleteI didn't feel like cooking tonight so I made a toasted chicken sandwich (cooked white meat) on raisin bread. It was quite tasty, actually.
ReplyDeleteOh, that does sound good. I used to eat tuna on raisin bagels. YUM.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
Shepherds pie!
ReplyDeleteYum.
DeleteGreat cartoon, I've been there! Hamburgers and home fries.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of meat for the burgers? Do you ever mix and match, meats?
DeleteWent out to lunch yesterday with a friend and brought home half a flat bread sandwich for dinner. Then we went out to a local tavern to celebrate my son's promotion. Salad for dinner tonight.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your kiddo. Sounds like a fun time, you all had. Were there good eats at the tavern?
DeleteWhatever we can afford... or some food stuffs from others... (poverty sucks)... lived for several years on only coffee and peanut butter sandwiches.. made sure my dog was fed ... (even if I had to do without...)... so we make do as best we can , dear Lady Whisk....
ReplyDeleteYou and yours have a pleasant evening at Gothridge Manor...
Are there any free pantry places that give fresh and canned foods away? We have those here.
DeleteYesterday evening we walked over to the mall for a slice of pizza, a walk around the place to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas, and then a stop at Tim Hortons for a mocha (for hubby) and a cappuccino (for me). It was such a nice break. Sometimes you need to get away!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great, great night. Yes, getting away is good.
DeleteJust love the cartoon ...
ReplyDeleteFor dinner tonight (Thursday) we had a lovely moussaka - I just love aubergines, so does Eddie.
All the best Jan
I enjoy eggplant. Used to grow them at one time. Heavenly. Do you garden?
