Sunday Bake

It's the last day of our mini Christmas staycation. To kick things off, I moved the Lemon Tart Room around. Tim doesn't know it yet because he's finishing up on his map work (that he sells online). Plus, he's got the pregame cranked so he couldn't hear me.

After I hit dish, I'm gonna bake something. I think maybe raisin bread from that new bake book I wrote about yesterday. I love my own raisin bread but I'm curious to learn new methods and use two new to me ingredients. More on that another day. Game is on now and I want to get my walk in, dish done and to my baking.

Happy Sunday (or Monday) and .....

  1. Enjoy experimenting! Oddly I've never gotten into raisin bread, generally because I don't go for raisins.

No baking here. Way too hot.
Gardening? Or perhaps diving into Christmas books.

    1. Garden work sounds good. Do you do veggies, flowers and plants? Any fruit?

    2. Flowers and vegies. Not a lot of fruit. Which is a mistake. And we are on water restrictions so most of the garden is suffering and the vegies may slip by...

    3. Very sorry to hear about the water restrictions and possible veggies slipping by. Are you allowed to set up rain tubs for catching water?

    4. When funds permit I am going to install rainwater tanks. Two. At least.

    5. Very nice. Poor little veggies. Hope they make it through the season.

  5. I don't like mini Christmas staycations coming to an end. Do you? Sounds like from the other posts read too that yours went quite well though. Good!

    Happy Boxing-Boxing day! :)

    1. Happy Christmas to you and Alex.

I agree, I don't like them coming to an end either. Goes way too fast.

    2. As you jsut noted on latest post. :) Well, while it does feel like today went fast, reading your earlier post from this morning feels like yonkers ago. Bizarre. Good to keep us in the loop though. GN>

    3. I'm on a goal to hit 444 posts by the close of the year. Two posts per day should get me there.

      Thanks for stopping back in.

    1. Love pineapple. Have you tried to make pineapple ice cream, yet? I made some this weekend. Killer good.

  7. Not into raisin bread. Used to make banana bread once but haven't done so in a long time.

    1. Funny, you mention nanners. I have one rotting on my workbench, this very minute.

Hope you had a great Boxing Day.

  8. I love that you would shift a room around while hubby's not looking! I was going to do nothing but I do a crap load of laundry in the morning. But I did take the rest of the day off, so it's not too bad.

    1. Took him HOURS to go in there and see it. Crap loads of laundry done before Monday, sound good to me. I did two loads this morning, just so I didn't have to start Monday behind the eight ball.

      You sill eating yummy cookies?

    2. The cookies are almost all gone. Most of them were given away to family over the holidays. I'll have to make some more after all the holidays are over and done with. There are some new recipes I want to try out.
