Good on the first!! I've got my hand raised too. On the second one, I always burn myself .... nearly always (haha!) when using an oven. An aloe vera plant is an essential stand-by when using the oven, and it works. Great illustrations, Ivy.
Agreed. Aloe is amazing to have on hand. Right now, I'm taking a short break from gutting my kitchen, but one of my kitchen goals is to find a spot for winter healing plants and herbal fun.
Loved all your artwork. Have you ever considered professional illustration?
Yaaaayy!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Booo on the little finger burn. :)
Long time no talk. How goes you?

DeleteYay for the butter, boo for the burn!
ReplyDeleteI just moved my pizzelle iron back to a central spot, in the lab.
DeleteMuwhahaha.
Good to hear Whisk, excellent news apart from the finger!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lurker. That's be my fault. Too much silliness in the lab.
DeleteHappy happy joy joy! :)
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteI burned my arm making pork tenderloin the other night, just a little one. So happy you survived melted butter, go pizzelles! Loving your header art!
ReplyDeleteSorry that you burnt yourself. How was the porK? What did you serve with it? Thanks about the header.
DeleteLove pizzelles, my favorite! Sorry about the burn, but if I don't get burned or cut, I'm doing it all wrong. :)
ReplyDeleteWhich kind do you like? Tim loves the almond the best. Second up, vanilla.
DeleteMMM Pizzelles!!
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteGood job but bad job too !
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip

Deletesorry you burned yourself...i do it almost every time I cook...pizzelles sound delightful.
ReplyDeleteDo you make them, too?
DeleteAlways pay attention Ivy. I burn myself regularly through inattention. Remember you making pizzelles last Christmas
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Jo. It's one of the top rules in the kitchen.
DeleteAwesome sauce!! I might just have to buy myself a pizzelle iron!! Have a great day :-)
ReplyDeleteWith you living Italy, you're bound to find lots of great pizzelle formulas to play with.
DeleteI hope your finger is feeling better. I love Christmas music!
ReplyDeleteAll better, thanks. Your orange muffines looked yummmmmy.
DeleteHope your burn is all better. I sliced my thumb good yesterday so I feel for you! Pizzelles sounds great, never tried that!
ReplyDeleteAll better, thanks. Yikes on slicing your thumb good yesterday. How is your thumb doing today? Better?
DeletePoor little finger. You gotta pay attention, Wonder Woman, when you're gettin' down :)
ReplyDeleteTrue, I do.
DeleteI just love listening to Christmas music at this time of year ...
ReplyDeleteBurns are just part of cooking aren't they !?
Perhaps we should all pay more attention when in the kitchen ...I'm sure my dear mum used to say that too !
All the best Jan
I think they are, yes. And you're right, I do need to. But the xmas spirit took hold and bam, burnolla.
DeleteNo rash or throat closing -- good. Burnt finger -- bad. Glad yesterday was a success!
ReplyDeleteThanks. How's your cold?
DeleteOops!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I said.
DeleteCongrats on the butter but sorry to hear about the burn!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzie the Foodie.
