The answer to Friday Question is ... papaya seeds. Strong little buggers that look like alien eggs but have a powerful pepper-like kick.
Friday Question: Who likes papaya? How do you like to eat yours? Have you ever made ice cream out of it? I was going to make a dairy-free ice cream, but then I ate the whole fruit, so maybe next time.
Thanks for playing and just because it's a fun day, I award you all a handful of alien eggs, three moldy spoonfuls of toe jam and one jar of fermented eyeballs. Please enjoy.
I like papaya, either freshly sliced or as dried fruit. I think I've had papaya ice cream too, which was good.
ReplyDeleteI never tried it dried but I'd try it.
DeleteNever tried that fruit before....
ReplyDelete, and Lady Debra... great "shout-out" at Cal's blog...
Dear Lady Whisk..... we hope that you and Gothridge Manor had a great Halloween....
... from our Crypt .... far beneath Forlorn Manor......
We did thank you. Now we're into Christmas Fun! Do you celebrate or decorate for xmas?
Deleteyes, dear Lady.... but we also use skulls and some 'dark' things as well...
DeleteYou know, I'm not sure I've ever had papaya. Now I'm going to have to try it. Unless I had it while we were in Cuba in the spring. I just don't remember. I should just try it.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the best meal you had in Cuba?
DeleteI loved the fruit. So fresh. And the coffee. Oh my gosh...the coffee. I don't know what they do but it's the best coffee I ever had. And their breads were awesome, too. So tasty.
DeleteDidn't know you could eat the seeds. I actually don't like the flavour of papaya for some reason but my husband and daughter love it.
ReplyDeleteYes, they have healing properties and hey, why not eat as much of a fruit as safely possible.
DeleteI don't eat the seeds but I love papaya. I should have known that one.
ReplyDeleteBut deep inside I still think they are alien eggs ready to pop !
Run fast run and don't look back !
cheers, parsnip
Alien eggs is for sure what they could be. They really do look it. Thanks for playing, Parsnip.
DeleteAlthough I do like papaya, it isn't a favourite. When I do eat it, I have it just as it is sliced (but no seeds). I love your question graphic, Ivy! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. These are fun for me to do on Fridays. Thanks for playing. Enjoy your prizes.
DeleteNice! That really fooled me! I like papaya... Papaya ice cream sounds great :-) but I have never made it before. You gave me an idea though!
ReplyDeleteYou were the closest with seeds from a fruit so you win double the prizes along with three nose hairs and two broken lawn chairs.
DeleteThanks for playing.
Hahaha why thank you friend! That was a fun game...looking forward to next Friday :-)
DeleteAh Ah they are Papaya ... thanks.
ReplyDeletePapaya sliced can be nice,
Papaya ice cream can also be nice.
Hope you enjoy your last days of staycation ...
All the best Jan
Thanks, Jan. Hope you're having a killer weekend.
DeleteAdmittedly I've never tried papaya.
ReplyDeleteI never had one fresh before recently, either.
