Hello Ooger Booger Butts. It's Monday and we're soon to head off to Home Depot for some paint for the bedroom. Gonna make it all nice like. But first, we'll meet up with his parents for breakfast at a Perkins. None for me, I'll just watch, but that's okay. Really, I don't mind at all. Besides, I just made sorghum and coconut flour pancakes for myself and man alive, they were good.
My belly is full. And happy.
So bring on the family time, then unplug the phone and bolt the windows, because we're going into lock down mode for the remainder of Halloween staycation.
Sounds like you are having fun. Enjoy yourself.ReplyDelete
What's not to love?Delete
Will do :-)Delete
Enjoy your Halloween staycation.ReplyDelete
Thanks bunches and good luck with NaNo.Delete
What holds the flour and sorgum together ?ReplyDelete
Happy to know your enjoying your holiday time.
That's a good question and one I will do a longer post about down the road, but for now, I find sorghum easy to work with. It spreads easily which makes it great for pancakes, waffles and gravy/sauces. Eggs help too, along with a little coconut flour or some homemade flaxmeal.Delete
But on the whole, it's a lovely lovely ingredient to play with. Though I haven't made any yeasted breads or quick breads with it yet. But when I do, I will write you an email and let you know how it goes.
But I digress, as for pancakes, it's one of my top choices for pancake or griddle cakes.
Have fun painting!ReplyDelete
I haven't been to a pancake house in years. I love them but they always sit like cement in my tummy then. What colors did you pick?ReplyDelete
I can understand them sitting like a brick.Delete
We went with a blue but I cannot recall the name off hand (at Barnes now and the sample paint jar is in the car).
We're going for a Batcave style bedroom. Not with the bat signal, but a darker cave-like place to hide.
Pancakes are always good!ReplyDelete
You make me laugh!ReplyDelete
Have a great week!
Lock down mode sounds interesting. :-)ReplyDelete
Me I'm in writing mode - NaNoWriMo Month - feels great!
Very cool. Congrats. What's your word count? What's your end-goal?Delete
Now that all the "hectic" parts of Halloween are over... we will have our own little celebration later in the week... wet, messy and chilly now....ReplyDelete
Glad the hectic bits have calmed down.Delete
Hey Birdie. I don't know the name but it's a blue. We are going for a Batcave kinda of dark feel. Minus the Bat Signal. I think.Delete
You have to have the bat signal. That will be the best part!Delete
Nice to have pancakes! Enjoy the painting!ReplyDelete
Ivy, your header drawing made me laugh! I love your sketches, they always make me smile! :)ReplyDelete
Have a spooky time.ReplyDelete
Loving the new avatar ... but what's in your mug?ReplyDelete
All the best Jan
Organic roasted dandelion root. My new top pick for hot tea. Have you tried it?Delete
