Work was pretty damn good. Even though they surprised me with two greenhorns, instead of just one.
But the two newbs did fantastic working as a team. That's the way restaurant work should be. Or, at least I believe so.
You cooking tonight?
Not me. It's leftover dinosaur wings and dumplings for us.
Meanwhile, it's Game Night for Tim and a quiet night for me. I've already taken the girls for their LONG walk, showered, and now I'm in my jams. And it ain't even five o'clock yet.
Such a hard life.
I've been considering an early night into the jams too. My husband did the work on the grill for dinner tonight, enjoying the unusually warm weather.
ReplyDeleteSusan: Early night in jams and grilled food. That sounds fantastic. Num num num.
ReplyDeleteI see that calling them jams is catching on...
ReplyDeleteWilliam: I think it's a girl thing. Don't hear too many dudes saying, "Hey, gonna get in my jams and have quiet night."
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not a guy thing!
ReplyDeleteDinosaur wings? Fred Flintstone would be proud.
ReplyDeleteMen call them lounge wear. And I'm usually in mine by dinnertime as well.
ReplyDeleteMy son loves getting into his jammies as soon as he gets home. I usually wait until after I've taken the dog out for his last pee :)
ReplyDeleteI cooked! A frozen pizza. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteWilliam: lol.
ReplyDeleteTrey: Who do you think gave me the recipe?
Alex: Lounge wear?
mshatch: Wait all the way until then, eh? I can understand that.
Stacy: It sure does count.
Sounds like a wonderful day, good for you!
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds sweet. I cooked. Chicken, Cranberries (again), green bean casserole (reheated), salad and stuffing (stove top). EZ - smeezy but it took an hour. :( Wasn't in my jammies until 7:30
ReplyDeleteDang, girl! I'm so jealous. I was just starting my shift at the mall when you were curled up in your jams, munching on dinosaurs.
ReplyDeleteDinosaur wings...one per person...have a relaxing one Whisk.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE being in my jams before 5 - now that's a good night!
ReplyDeletematt: Wasn't bad at that. You cooking this week?
ReplyDeleteKim: My stuffing was from a bag. Funny how EZ-smeezy can still take us upwards of an hour or so. Happy Cooking & Jogging.
Suzan: And good dinosaur it was. Hope the retail shoppers are kind to you and your co-workers this season.
Lurker: Haven't seen read about your game yet. Hope it was great fun and that you kicked Ray's ass.
Susan: It's the best.
