Last night I got distracted by a big box of Christmas lights. So I decorated the outside tree, while the pups waited patiently.
Never did scrub the floors and toilets either. Nope. Just goofed about and enjoyed the Nook.
Can't believe how fun it is.
Suppose I'll clean tonight, since Tim bought MW3 and I probably won't see him again until the weekend. Longer even, if it's a good game. But I'll be sure and drop food on his snack tray from time to time.
I'm such a good wife.
Besides, I wouldn't want him to starve. Especially since he'll need to keep healthy and focused for his 360 marathons.
Cheers and boogie boogie.
Ugh, too early for Christmas, for me anyways. But I like the Christmas lights you added to the pups!
ReplyDeleteps, I'm sure it was more fun than scrubbing toilets!
bliss: It was so fun.
ReplyDeleteIt is early, but when inspiration hits ya just have to take it!
ReplyDeleteI loooove Christmas time. My girlfriend and I are going to pull out all our stuff next week to start decorating. We never do it this early, but since we're in a new place we really want to see what it looks like. Both the tree picture and the dogs make me happy. I know it wasn't intentional, but thank you.
ReplyDeleteSouthpaw: Really too early for ya? I wanted to do it toward the end of our staycation but was busy going to the bookshop every other day.
ReplyDeleteVeg: It's fun and for me, never too early. Waiting until the beginning of December is far too late for me. I like Halloween and then bam, right into Christmas.
Glad it make you happy. The picture of the pups made me happy as well, and that's why I shared it. They always make me smile, even when they make me nuts.
Hope to see photos of the place.
I hope those glowing eyes mean those dogs are possessed by the Christmas spirit. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree Ivy! Those pups sure want to check it out! I've tested the shoe grippers 2 days in a row and they get the thumbs up. They even make a neat clicky sound on the bare pavement that makes me feel like I am tap dancing!! Checked out the blankett shop too. Fantastic blankies my friend! Nice a cozy!
ReplyDeletepretty lights!
ReplyDeleteIs that snow on your tree?
ReplyDeletethe thing about toilets, they will still be dirty tomorrow, but tomorrow they will be dirty at a house with a beautiful tree...that's far more important :o)
ReplyDeleteOh it's never too soon for Christmas :) plus my boys will all be playing MW3 too, my sons are trying to talk my hubby into joining them in their addiction.
ReplyDeleteOn a bit of a MW3 buzz as well but on the PS3 the true console, nice work my Queen.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, i love this post... i get so distracted on so many things... the other day small kitchen fire cause i was sick and i decided to clean dishes and was not watching the pot with soup in it boil over and the paper towel with the spoon... hey today i put photos up of our baby izzy in her pink outfit on my blog... then i found out who shot mr. burns.
ReplyDeletehappy day!

I love Christmas! That's so fun that you got started already :)
ReplyDeleteTrey: I don't know why both have different colored possessed eyes.
ReplyDeleteLo-mo: Thanks bunches for telling me. I will see if I can get them here. Sounds perfect.
mshatch: Thanks.
Alex: What snow?
Daisey: Very true.
Kim: Did they get him to join the dark side?
Lurker: You made it work, I heard.
iZombie: Saw the pup. She looks like the same kind of dog our last dog was. Question: How come you don't post the comments on the blog? I see some go through from time to time, but that's it.
alexia: Never too early for me.
I can see the snow too - or maybe it's ectoplasm from that Christmas spirit? The dogs got smiles this end as well. You have a great collection of pics in the side gallery by the way - I've got Wiggy peering at me as I write this, which would be perfect if her tummy wasn't hurting of course. I've just eaten, but the pics of food all still have the power to make me hungry.
ReplyDeletePorky: Ectoplasm. You made me laugh out loud. I see Wiggy there. That was the day she ate black walnuts.
ReplyDeleteHope your lunch was good. Nothing but scrappy leftovers here. Possibly making breakfast for supper, when Tim gets home.
Cheers and boogie boogie.
Let me know if you can't get them, I am sure we can work something out!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, and your husband's blog. Thanks for visiting mine. I would love to know how you came across my little part of the blog-world.
ReplyDeleteLo-mo: Thanks bunches. I wish we lived closer because boy would it be fun to go food gadget shopping.
ReplyDeleteIguana: Thanks for the nice words. Honestly, I am not sure how I found your blog. Was blog hopping, most likely. But I can't recall from where to where.
Well, however you did it, you are always welcome to visit. Personally, I am scoping out the blankets as we speak.
ReplyDeleteIguana: Yeah, I was trying to think of what blog I went to before yours. I've put you on my blogroll so I'll be back to see what you're up to.
ReplyDeleteDo you enjoy blogging?
I enjoy it.
beautiful tree Ivy, Christmas is coming soon and I have to do a lot of things before !
ReplyDeletei do, but sometimes i pre-make my posts and don't check them in until the end of the week... i am so bad... i get lots of spam so i have the safety on all the time.
ReplyDeletewe loves our baby izzy... yesterday she was cold and the standing over the heat vent... with a very good "ahhhh" on her face.

Yeesh, that's early.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't the novelty kind of wear off by the time Christmas actually arrives? We never put ours up until Dec 24th, strictly trad.
But if it makes you happy, roll with it :)
Chiara: You have wonderful food. Happy Holidays and Eat Well.
ReplyDeleteiZombie: Oh ... I was wondering what was up with that. Thanks for explaining. Hate Spam. Such a pain in the butt.
Love the image of Izzy all warm and snug. Pups are the best.
Dungeonmum: The 24th? One day?
Not us. We have a cozy little corner of the living room decorated with Halloween lights, then straight after that, right into Christmas lights.
I sit and sip tea and read in the holiday corner. Or we watch movies, eat pizza and snuggle with Tim.
Love it.
Sounds nice.
ReplyDeleteYeah we go for the traditional: decs go up on the 24th Dec and don't come down until the Epiphany (terrible bad luck befalls you otherwise!)
Dungeonmum: What is Epiphany? My mom likes to keep hers up until Little Christmas.
ReplyDeleteJust put some chicken in the oven, with tiny potatoes and onions. Smells so GOOD.
Then we're both off from work tomorrow.
Woohoo.
Enjoy your tradition and Happy Holidays.
The dogs look like zombies outside the window....
