Who Needs Storage? (not us)

Just when I thought it was safe to put down the hammer, we decided to demo the closet in the movie room. We don't need the storage (which I love), but we will use the open flex space (which I also love). Then we'll repaint/touch up the Lemon Tart Room, keeping the bright yellow.

But not today. Today, we're off to Apple Castle for transparents, early gold apples and other heirloom yumminess.

That's all from me. Have a yummy day!

  2. As you have apparently given away everything you own, I guess you don't need storage. Enjoy your apples.

  6. Transparents? A fruit?
Here it is what my partner is when he thinks he is subtly working up to something.
    Have fun.

    1. A delicious apple that comes early in the season. A real treat for me. Bitter and tart and makes wonderful applesauce. Though I also eat them out of hand.

  7. Most people don't need most of the stuff they keep in storage.

    1. Happy Lucy's 105th Birthday today. We thought about going to Jamestown but opted for the apples as the transparents won't be around much longer.

Even before the 90 percent gone, I've never been a big storage keeper. As in, stuff I stashed away for another day.

    1. You guys don't have any early ones there? We got transparents, heirloom early golds and then a new one, that I forget the name of. But the transparents are ready early and only for a short time. Best apple, ever!

  11. I'd love to go apple-picking with you! As you might recall, my family and I work at a local orchard every fall to help pick apples. We could help you pick a bin in no time! :D Enjoy your time! :)

  13. I love the idea of naming room decor after other things. We do have a daffodil room which colour scheme was exactly matched to a two tone daffodil, so two shades of yellow. You'd think they wouldn't go together, but in real life they seem like the perfect colour combination!

    1. Love that you found such a great combo. Sometimes, I hear folks shy away from yellows but I have no idea why shy away from such a pretty colour.

    1. Oh my gosh, really great because they had my transparent apples and early golds but then I tried a new apple and it gave me a rash. But the other two apples, I was sooo happy they had.

      Thank you for asking.
