I was gonna head to Erie (30 minutes north), but with the morning rain, I decided to stay local. Now I'm about to remove all my cookery/bake stuff from under the sink so that the area can fully dry (from the leak).
Meanwhile, I've got Bryan Adams cranked and I'm wearing my Halloween shirt. You know why? Because I love Halloween and the only shirts I have left are the ones that I love to wear, year-round.
In other news, I'm making homemade peanut butter. Well, not me, the food processor is doing all the work, but I helped.
My, you sound Very "upbeat" today !!
ReplyDeletehope that All is well with you and Gothridge Manor...
we have a few problems since last Friday... Hand "itches" (a Lot_ ... but is much better.. (some "gross-looking" discoloration spots ( from the blistering)
.. Would enjoy some of the rains that you have had ( even though roof leaks in a couple of places...
a great weekend to you both.... Stacey / "Dr. Theda"..
Sorry you're having a rough go, Theda. Just read your post about the trade off of things. Here's to that getting sorted.
DeleteI enjoy rain. I love the color of the Halloween.
ReplyDeleteMe too, and me too.
Delete*raises hand* Me, me!
ReplyDeleteThat was my morning, although I did finally squeeze in some treadmill time and a shower. The afternoon should be busier, although I am planning to do a little reading at some point. I need to read the way I need oxygen :)
Did you get your reading in? Do you ever read outside? We have a deck outside our kitchen and I sit out there on my many breaks.
DeleteHappy Weekend.
Have a great rest of the day!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI only know that I would like to see you in your boogie boogie time. It just dawned on me that I do not have a Halloween shirt. Oh woe is me...
ReplyDeleteOh Granny Annie - No Halloween shirt? Say it isn't so, Granny Annie. Say it isn't so.
DeleteYou are the best advert for decluttering I know.
ReplyDeleteWe had a pretty good day too but not on the Internet, although that would have been good as well.
Things are unfolding organically. And I've been keeping journals as I experience new things, like the ease of living. Thanks for always being supportive. You rock.
Deleteyou sound very content despite a leaky sink!
ReplyDeleteI really am.
DeleteI finished clearing under the sink in two seconds. I knew everything that was there and, I stored it all on the flex station in the office. It could sit there for a month and not be in the way.
I spent my morning at a workshop listening to someone drone on and on and on . . . . .
ReplyDeleteSee, now, next time, skip that and stop on by. I'll make you and kind of bagel you fancy.
DeleteThe only Hallowe'en sort of stuff I would have are a couple of bandannas.
ReplyDeleteCool. Which prints?
DeleteI love rain. Halloween? Not celebrated here. It is just after seven here, and while I am glued to the PC, I will get things done. I think. I hope.
ReplyDeleteWe celebrate it for an entire season and then there are year-round things like shirts, skulls and other boogie boogie items.
DeleteDid you enjoy your garden time?
How's your voice today?
Leaky sink bad
ReplyDeleteMoving baking stuff away from sink good
Another baking spot even better
I have seen Halloween stuff everywhere already.
Need to make a fun box for Japanese family.
cheers, parsnip and thehamish
Hey Girl. No food is stored under there. It's next to the oven so I store my bake pans and it works nicely.
DeleteBut once I demo my kitchen, then ANYTHING goes.
Muwhahahaha.
Wow! Homemade peanut butter sounds good! We buy Smuckers Natural Peanut Butter, which just has peanuts and salt. I imagine homemade must be even butter!
ReplyDeleteWow again. You got rid of 90%?! That's pretty impressive!
It's so yummy!!!!!
DeleteThanks. The first four weeks, 80 percent left the house. The rest, shortly after and the entire process was an organic one.
And I miss nothing.
homemade peanut butter sounds addicting. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's just yummmmmmyyyyy!
DeleteBoth my hands are raised! I just got back home yesterday have the whole house to clean and two humongous suitcases to unpack but here I am reading blogs ! Haha
ReplyDeleteTwo humongous suitcases? Did they get unpacked?
DeleteHomemade peanut butter sounds good!
ReplyDeleteRead about the new type of phone line on your blog and that sounds super cool. And useful. Congrats again to your son for landing the new gig.
DeleteI've never had a Halloween shirt...but I like your idea of wearing it all the time and would do if I had one...my dad used to tell me I ate like a goy because I put peanut butter on bagels...I hope you enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteI've always worn my Halloween shirts year-round. Just makes good sense to me. But now, all those other meh shirts, they be GONE!
DeletePeanut butter on a bagel is fantastic. Do you have a favorite type of bagel?
Cinnamon raisin, blueberry or for savory, onion.
ReplyDeleteYou know what? I've never tried a blueberry bagel. Now you got me inspired. Love the other two you mentioned.
DeleteHomemade peanut butter? yes, please! And your last comment with the illustrations made me smile. Thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks about the art. I'll teleport you a jar of peanut butter.
DeleteI hope the leak under your kitchen sink is better. Homemade peanut butter sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dawn.
DeleteI've never had a Halloween shirt ... but I seem to recall your Halloween celebrations do start early - and why not!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great weekend
All the best Jan
