We have the air off and the windows OPEN with a breeze blowing through. The oven has been on once (made more jalapeno crackers for breakfast), and soon blueberry hand-pies. I love blueberries but I've never made blueberry pie.
That changes, today.
You know what else? I wrote a lot before, formulas/bakes/recipes. But now ... with 90 percent of my stuff gone, I write MORE. I don't have to move my piles of paper from one spot to another. Instead, I get to work.
How flippin' cool is that?
That's great, Ivy.
ReplyDeleteIs that outside on your deck? Looks great.
Thanks. Yes. Tim is staining the new bedroom closet doors. Not to be confused with the closet that I demoed last week. That thing ain't EVER coming back.
DeleteMmmm... Love blueberry pie! Especially a la mode. :)
ReplyDeleteHow bad is it that I had to google, a la mode? Anyway, Happy Sunday.
DeleteSee? You learn something new EVERY DAY!! :)
DeleteVery cool Ivy. Glad you are enjoying your extra room.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jo.
DeleteLove blubeberry pies Ivy :) :)
ReplyDeleteYum.
DeleteI prefer my fruit au naturale. Mmmm blueberries.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and Tim love your creation.
Fresh fruit is yummy.
DeleteThe blueberry hand-pies need to be baked on a higher temp but the innards were yummy.
I wish I could bake a pie. I did make great cobblers that my grandchildren loved. Love blueberry pies.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't you bake pie?
Deletevery cool! Your blueberry pie sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteNext go, I have to put the oven on a little higher but the taste was good.
DeleteI had to have some work done in my studio , so I pulled out lots of stuff mostly paper and more paper that I use. Paints, books and more paper. I am cutting it down to one cabinet and the rest goes. I will use it all but I will find more .
ReplyDeleteRight now a mess but that's ok.
I sometimes wish I could "build" a whole new studio with all new working space but I have all the leftover kids stuff that works just fine.
cheers, parsnip and thehamish
cheers, parsnip and thehamish
Cutting it down to one cabinet is a big step. Congrats. Will you donate the other stuff or is it stuff that needs tossed?
DeleteUnderstandable about wanting a new space. I hope that you get that some day.
Blueberries are a favorite of mine! Enjoy that pie...where are you that you can have a breeze, windows open and no heatwave?
ReplyDeleteWe live on a mountain and under big black walnut trees, which makes it cool. But we also live in a tin box, which can make between 3-4pm, very hot. But mostly, it's been a super nice summer, haven't felt much of the heat.
DeleteBlueberry pie is a tie for favourite with cherry pie for me.
ReplyDeleteYum, to them both.
DeleteI don't much care for raw blueberries, but mmmmm cooked blueberries!
ReplyDeleteHow do you like them cooked?
DeleteThe only thing I make with blueberries is pancakes.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love blueberry pancakes AND blueberry waffles.
DeleteOh my yum.
I love me some blueberry pie. Haven't baked one in ages and ages.
ReplyDeleteOne season away from your yearly pie bakes. Yum.
DeleteLove blueberries...how did the pie turn out?
ReplyDeleteThe filling was yummy but next time, I will up the oven temp because the insides cooked faster than the outside. I only made two hand-pies so I have more filling to give it another go. Thanks for asking.
DeleteBlueberry hand-pie sound yummy. Also the crackers do too. Sounds like you are busy!
ReplyDeleteNot busy at all. In fact, I have loads of time these days. Plus, that's just normal baking for me.
DeleteBlue-berries are definitely yummy!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Do you ever make blueberry low-carb pie for you and your honey bunny?
DeleteThat's pretty awesome! On second thought, I think I will just skip both the jalapeno and onion crackers, and go straight for the blueberry pie! That really sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'll teleport you a bit of everything.
