My plan was to snap photos as I molded and closed. However, I'm quickly learning that working with dough, meat, cheese, lighting, AND the camera will take some practice.
Meanwhile, I rolled these three different ways. All were good. Even the last one. Next, I'll practice making and shooting food at the same time. But not today.
Today, I've got a Babycakes machine with my name on it. Not sure what's for supper yet. But you can bet your bottom teeth and a toenail, supper will be shaped like a cupcake.
Or a waffle stick. Really, it could go either way.
I'll take that bet, but I only bet my one wonky toenail ;)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha. Can't wait to have you over. These are so good I'll have to send some home for Jake.
DeleteSupper shaped like a cupcake sounds like MY kind of supper indeed :)
ReplyDeleteEverything hubby gets this week is either shaped like a cupcake or a waffle stick.
DeleteSo fun.
You need special lighting and a tripod positioned - then all you have to do is place food and snap!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alex. I'm talking more about the step-by-step photos of filling and rolling dough. More method, rather than finished product.
DeleteThings get messy during the step-by-step shots. More practice should help, but once I do video, tripod is the what we'll use.
Yum yum yum...
ReplyDeletePlease, take two.
Deletethey look nom cheesy nom
ReplyDeleteCheese and onions, I added to tonight's creation. Such a wonderful combination.
DeleteI'm hungry!
ReplyDeleteWhich do you fancy. I'll teleport it.
DeleteYou're making me hungry... :)
ReplyDeleteThat's great to hear.
DeleteI'm just wondering ... who eats all this delicious food?
ReplyDeleteI wish I could give it to you guys to taste.
DeleteThose all look delicious! I hope your cupcake shaped dinner turned out amazing!! Love all your experimenting! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Jen - I did two kinds today. One was the same as the last one we ate, and then the second didn't work out as well. It was too eggy.
DeleteBack to the lab ...
They all look mighty fine!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rayolla.
DeleteMost photographed food is inedible. Professional photogs brush it with all kinds of yucky things to make it look shiny. That's what you're dong wrong--your food TASTES yummy. I can tell just from these pictures. I say snap and eat!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stephanie. Yes, they do sometimes gloss the foods. For my stuff though, I was talking about method photos. As in how to fill and fold the dough, step-by-step shots.
DeleteHard to do when I'm covered in pastry. I'll need more practice, for sure.
All three look very tasty.
ReplyDeleteYou just have to clean your hands, pick up the camera and shoot. You can use a tripod or learn to shoot one handed.
Lighting is always a huge problem with me.
cheers, parsnip
I'm finding the fill and fold dough photos to be a challenge for me. More practice.
Deletelooks good
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteFantastic photos! Good lighting; they make the food very appetizing. Now, if you don't mind, I'll just reach into the screen...mmm....
ReplyDeleteThanks. These are just cooling rack shots but please, do take a few. Or wait until the next batch and I'll bake you a few veggie ones.
DeleteYUM! nuff said. cheers!!
ReplyDeleteCheers and boogie boogie.
