I love carrot fried rice. Crunchy organic carrots, a few onions, celery, good habanero sauce and peanuts. Eaten from my favorite little bowl, two chop sticks, and a hot cup of lemongrass decaf green tea.
Seriously good eats.
How about you? Do you like fried rice? If so, do you have a top pick?
Or ... maybe you have a least favorite fried rice? For me, it's chicken fried rice. I like chicken and rice cook other ways, but I dislike it greatly when cooked fried rice style.
I dunno why, it just doesn't work for me. But carrot fried rice, why I'll eat that all ding dong day long.
I like just about all Chinese food. (Anything Oriental, especially Thai.)
ReplyDeleteDo you have go-to, top pick?
DeleteI love fried rice - especially beef fried rice! Yummy!
ReplyDeleteI've never had beef fried rice before.
DeletePork fried rice with peas, carrots, and egg. Yum!
ReplyDeleteMy friend Kris agrees with you. That's her top pick as well. Have a groovy weekend and thanks for playing.
DeleteI almost never eat fried food. I do love to put celery in pretty much anything and everything.... And I eat carrots all the time... when me was a lil' bunny I loved to go out to our vegetable patch where I would dig out a carrot and nibble it fresh for mu snack just washed out in the well....
ReplyDeleteMine isn't so much fried, but I still call it fried rice. I dunno why. Ohhh, fresh garden carrots. That's a true treat. Very cool.
DeleteDo you like brown rice? I love it. All kinds, really. Long grain, short. I've never had wild rice yet. But if I get a coupon ...
I love fried rice...but haven't been able to eat it for a long time, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you can't have it anymore. Are you able to eat a brown rice?
DeleteI love all fried rice unless it's got shrimp in it.
ReplyDeleteDo you have one fried rice you like the best?
DeleteBig fan of rice, period, not the least because my extended family farms it...
ReplyDeleteThat's very cool. Do you get to eat really fresh stuff then? What's your favorite rice?
DeleteI'm not that much of a fan of rice, though I do like milk rice.
ReplyDeleteI've never had milk rice. What is it?
DeleteI agree with you, chicken fried rice is so wrong. Taste so blah.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite rice dish is a Japanese breakfast dish, sticky rice a piece of fish and a few uneboshi (pickled plums) with some soy sauce on the fish. Perfect !
But my favorite fried rice dish is scramble an egg, chop up what every veggies that are in the frig, a light saute add rice, then egg a dollop of soy sauce and some Ssamjang (Korean soybean paste ) on the side.
Perfection !
cheers, parsnip
Yeah, even my own homemade. I just don't care for it, but I love chicken and rice in other dishes. like with my own Hungarian sauce. That's killer.
DeleteSticky rice is good stuff. I haven't made that in a long while. Hubby likes the scrambled egg in it as well. I don't mind it either, but I find if I'm storing the rice, the egg goes funky, quickly.
Sounds like you have fun making rice dishes. Very cool. Thanks for sharing, today.
Just had some chicken balls with fried rice and curry sauce!
ReplyDeleteI never had a chicken ball. Is it breaded?
DeleteNever had carrot fried rice, but I love most fried rices.
ReplyDeleteCarrot fried rice is new to me but it sounds good. I like fried rice with pork, celery, mushrooms and broccoli.
ReplyDeleteSorry if this is a repeat, but the last comment I made said error 503. Anyway, carrot fried rice is new to me and it sounds good. I like fried rice with pork, mushrooms, broccoli and celery. Have a great weekend, Happy Whisk!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've had carrot fried rice, but it sounds good. I love rice, any which way is good for me.
ReplyDeleteAlas, not a fan of the carrot.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I'll eat just about any other veg in fried rice, and nothing beats fried tofu and fried rice. :)
Yep, I like fried rice. Chicken fried rice with a few veggies in it are fantastic to me.
ReplyDeleteRice posting! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend.
Gary :)
