It was super hard yesterday not to publish a second post so quickly after my first one. But I'm trying to reach 204 days of blogging in a row, and I didn't want to blow my wad, and not have a post for today.
So now it's today. Check it out. I used my own vanilla pizzelle formula, added leavening agents and bam, mini vanilla cupcakes, using my Babycakes machine.
I've never made vanilla cupcakes before. I'm not a big cake eater so I wasn't sure if this trick would work, but I'm happy to report it needs a few adjustments, but I'm in the right direction. I tell ya', I love the creativity of baking.

For me, a cupcake is sweeter and more airy, and can be eaten with or without frosting. Though these vanilla cupcakes, had chocolate frosting which sadly, just never made it into the shot.
I wish you could try this machine, Dezzy. If we lived closer, I'd let you barrow it. Cooks them so fast and the clean up is a snap. Well worth the five dollars for this new toy.

I use silicone muffin pan, I have a few of them, never use metal ones. Silicone ones are easy to clean, nothing sticks to them. And in my lil' oven muffins are done in about 10 to 15 mins. I also use silicone ice cube moulds to make little chocolate pralines for cake decoration :)

I've always been afraid of silicone muffin molds. I have them for ice cubes. I'll have to try them in the oven. I like the idea that they are easy to clean.

but don't use the ice cube moulds for baking :) not sure if all silicone can take the heat. Mine can go up to 250*C. They're the present and future of baking - so easy to use, to wash, nothing ever sticks to them, you just pop everything out.... I'd love to buy a regular rectangular silicon pan too for baking whole cake sheets and for baking sponges for my savoury rolls. Those usually stick either to the paper or to the regular pan. Sometimes I use them upside down to bake cheese baskets with grated cheeseDelete
The skull ones I got were from the dollar store and I don't know if they were for baking or ice, but maybe just ice.Delete
I have a sil flat pad that I use on my baking sheet for breads and rolls. It's nice. With coupon we got two big sheets for three dollars.
I've seen the sil cupcake molds but they've always scared me. I don't know why. Although, some of them that I have smelled, are stinky.
Just put a chocolate creation in the Babycakes machine. Smells nice so far. Not sure if it will work, but that's the fun.

I recommend using the seethrough silicone ones, not the ones that look like black rubber because I've seen those on foreign telly and it looked like bicycle tyre :) Mine are seethrough blue and they have no smell whatsoeverDelete
We have pink, red and all kinds here. Never saw the black yet. I like that yours has no smell. That's what I always do, smell my bakeware, lids, pans, anything I use like that, I smell before buying.Delete
