Last night we went out to eat because the kitchen was a mess. Plus, I felt like celebrating. Even though I don't have clearances just yet, I'm feeling the excitement of hope.
Meanwhile, Today I woke in less pain. Actually since my last adjustment on Saturday, I've been in less pain. And that makes me want to do housework. But just a wee bit.
After all, I want to make sure I save some for Tim. Don't want him to feel left out and all that.
But first, I'm going to make myself an omelet with horseradish cheese and mushrooms. I've been baking mushrooms lately and I love it. So much flavor, and beyond nummy. As for the horseradish, not sure if it will go with paprika roasted shrooms, but what the heck? I'll give it a go.

ReplyDeleteWe have a rather bad selection in our supermarkets here, mostly just button shrooms, and sometimes oyster shrooms, even though the south of my country is a shroom heaven!

ReplyDeleteDEZMOND: Just toss those suckers and a hot oven, I like 450F. I put mine on a baking sheet, with a tiny tiny bit of olive oil (not extra virgin), sweet paprika, Kosher salt and organic cayenne pepper, along with a pat of unsalted butter. Mine took about 6-7 minutes or so. I taste half-way and adjust seasonings and bam, easy baked mushrooms.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I slice mine (those take a wee bit longer to cook), but today's were diced and delicious.
mshatch: I switched it up and went with a scramble mushroom Colby bake instead.

It is my spine but right now the pain is the the neck, hands, and forearm.

Glad you're having less pain. Wish I could find that happy place! (I'm sure that would involve moving around, exercise, sweating, and all that other stuff that's so much the antithesis of my peaceful (but pain-filled) life!)
ReplyDeletemy problem is that when I put shrooms in the oven they release a lot of water and get drenched in it and they end up boiled not roasted :( And I hate salting them before to release fluids, because then my vitamins go bye bye ....

DEZMOND: I didn't have that problem. Is it possible you are baking them too long? Maybe just a matter of playing with oven temps and times.
Perhaps salt afterward or not at all. Or even toss them in the broiler for a super fast broil.
Just tossing some ideas out ...

ReplyDeleteI've been very good. I've been washing the outside windows with my new window brush. It's super long, can reach those high up little windows. Very cool! :)

ReplyDeleteNiki: OOHHHHH. I ate a wee bit of onion rings and a few bites of Tim's pasta cheese thing. Then we shared a lava cake with vanilla ice cream. I didn't care for the dessert because the dough part was bland. But I did enjoy the lava coming out. Just too sweet.
