In other news, my old boss called and pending clearances from my doctor, I've got my old prep cook job back.
Old boss said it's not a problem that I can't lift heavy water jackets or unload the heavy truck stuff. He just needs to know what I can't do, so he can schedule around my limits.
Pretty darn cool.
I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and I'll see if it's safe for me to go back into prep work. I hope I can go back.
Meanwhile, I best get to bake 44. I have just enough dark chocolate chips left to write one yummy bake.
Catch you Boogerbutts again soon.
|The very last of my stockpile chocolates.|
Yeah! Glad you'll be getting that job back. I know that makes for a Happy Whisk.ReplyDelete
Alex: Sorry about the posting mix-up. Though I did laugh at your comment, comment.ReplyDelete
Yes, if I can safely do the job, that would be wonderful.
Fingers crossed for you. just how happy will you be LOL, maybe have to change the name of your blog to The Happy Happy Whisk ;-)ReplyDelete
Ian: Thanks for the support. If I can make this job work, it would be pretty darn cool. And, it would leave me enough time to go back to school.ReplyDelete
ANY chocolate baking is EXCELLENT in my book! A cookbook draft is even better!ReplyDelete
Glad to hear things are working out in your direction for the old job. But take care of that back. It's the only one you got!
Suzan: The spine and neck come first now. Though I don't want to get too excited until I talk with my doctor.ReplyDelete
Sounds like great news...pending medical review, of course.ReplyDelete
Ken: Thanks. I hope it goes well.ReplyDelete
Nice shower of hearts, BTW. It would be a bad, but funny, thing to put the hearts on Tim's blog.ReplyDelete
Ken: That's the plan for Valentine's Day. Hearts on the Manor.ReplyDelete
Awesome that you can go back to work soon :) And gosh, I don't know how you've managed to stay committed to the 100 days of baking - major kudos!ReplyDelete
Azra: I made the commitment as a way of feeling better about the current job I had, and to learn more about baking.ReplyDelete
Yay for the good news (it's nice that they want you back). I hope the doctor makes the news even better!ReplyDelete
So what yummy thing are you going to bake with that chocolate?
Stacy: I think something with almond meal. A bitter bake cookie or bar, sort of thing.ReplyDelete
Oven preheating now.
fingers crossed that your back lets you go back to the old job :)ReplyDelete
DEZMOND: Thanks. Me too.ReplyDelete
sounds like good news :)ReplyDelete
Now, what do you plan on doing with those chocolate morsels might I ask?
Woohoo for the job back and get the back on the job. Feel better and good baking. I want that book.ReplyDelete
So glad your boss is scheduling around your needs (as he should!). Sounds like your baking has been a fabulous success so far! Love the falling hearts on your blog :)ReplyDelete
Best of luck to you with the job (but make sure and don't over do it).ReplyDelete
mshatch: I made a almond meal with dark chocolate cookie with seeds and tested it on the cast iron.ReplyDelete
Too many seeds.
Susan: You are a wonderful support. Thank you.
Jess: All those photos of Baby Tess were fantastic.
Savannah: I won't overdo :-)
Trey: Thanks bunches :-)ReplyDelete
Great news about your old/New job!!ReplyDelete
That's really great news. And your first cook book.... wouldn't that be great. I was thinking about a cook book for grumpy people. What do you think... is there a market?ReplyDelete
Very cool about getting the old job back!ReplyDelete
Those chocolate chips look yummy. Frankly if I had those around, I'd never actually get to baking them, 'cause I'd just devour them right out of the package!
Ray: I think we should celebrate by making a Lurker Flag for your minis.ReplyDelete
Grumpster: I don't know? Maybe? That's a little funny.
Bard: I do nibble them because they are so good. Sometimes we take a spoonful of peanut butter and eat them with that.
Good that you've got the job back!ReplyDelete
And chocolate makes everything taste better...
William: Chocolate really does make everything better.ReplyDelete
