Movin' & Groovin'

This was the first week in many that didn't start with a trip to the chiropractors, followed by rest.

And you know what?

I love the freedom of a pain-free start.  I'm happy with my progress, both spinal and household.  By this time next week, I should be painting the movie room.

Love it.

Here's something I didn't love.  Today I had to toss veggie stock due to salmonella poisoning from organic black pepper.

But let's end on a high note.  See these?  FREE at CVS.

Gone, Gone, Gone (insert sad face)

  2. Sad face for your veggie stock. Happy face for free dish detergent and pain-free day.

  3. Sad face for your veggie stock, but it would have been a painful face having been poisoned from salmonella.

And very happy face for freebies, and for being pain-free. Yay, you!

    1. Unfortunately, I got sick. Several times with everything that had pepper in it. Only, I didn't know it was the pepper.

But happy face at the freebies and kick startin' good week.

      How was your weekend?

Removed the peppered items, and a couple days later I was good to go.

    1. They are fun. And the best part is that they gave my $3 just for giving them my email. The other $3 came from buying stuff at a good price, anyway, that we needed.

      Bonus all around.

  6. good riddance, you don't need frozen stock anyway... save the vitamins by cooking it fresh, it takes just ten minutes :)

    1. I have made stock in a pinch, but love my frozen stock. Making another batch this week because the market near me is having a nice big veggie sale. Perfecting time, eh?

    1. I did get sick on it, actually sick on everything that had the pepper in it. Only at the time I didn't know it was the pepper.

Hope you had a killer weekend.

  11. Wow! Never heard of pepper causing salmonella. Sorry you got sick. That's happened to me once (on some ribs I cooked in the crockpot) and I hope it never happens again!! Not an experience worth repeating.

At least you got some freebies to help offset losing your veggie stock.

  14. I didn't know you were painting in the movie room. That's it. I'm hiring you to come here and paint for me. Nah, can that. My hands are getting better (insert major happy dance and send some major happy positive vibes) so I may be able to paint my hallway this summer!! It's only been close to a year since I said I'd do it. Wow, hello "all about me" comment.

So, I did a major coupon mistake the other day. I had a "club" coupon at the commissary. Got on line, waited far too long (military pay day), got to the cashier, (we don't pay tax there) and she says, "what are you using for the second club item?" I'm like, what are you talking about second item?" She says, "this coupon requires two purchases." Doh! But since she already rung up the uber size mac and cheese packages, I said screw it and bought them. No coupon discount on six packs of mac and cheese.

    1. Great comment. I love long ones like these. Sorry about the M&C. Not a big fan of those dollar off two items, but it seems to be the way now.

Yeppers. Painting is the goal for next week. Have a nice little movie room. Also a great place to read. Just a real peaceful space.
