Today I'm sore and achy. Think it might be the snow and ice cold air, aggravating my spine. The plan was to go couponing but for right now, I'll wait it out and see if it gets warmer.
If not, I'll stay by the fireplace in the movie room. Here's the picture from the couch. If my blog had sound, you'd hear the popping fire and crackles as the wood burns.
Tim teases me but I tell ya, I love to make tea, curl under a blanket and read by fake firelight. Meanwhile, I just looked outside and the flakes are bigger now. I forget if that means more or less snow. Either way, it's cold. Burrr.
How bout you?
Got snow today? Ice? Rain? Cold? Or sunshine?
I like your fake fireplace.
ReplyDeleteWe have rain today. Good, wash away all the crappy pollen.
I'm hearing a lot about pollen this year.
DeleteLove the fake fireplace! Enjoy. Started with pouring rain this morning while the dogs sniffed every blade of grass in the yard, but now we have snow. Rest up and feel better :)
ReplyDeleteDogs are funny. Mine are currently taking their second nap of the morning.
DeleteWe're rainy right now but the cold and snow are only hours away. I need to go to the store before it arrives.
ReplyDeleteDid you get anything yummy?
DeleteRain, rain, and more rain! But I don't mind because it'll help clean up the streets, and water the gardens. Hope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteI can feel the heat...Keep warm and cozy.
DeleteWe have pine pollen. the rain helps keep it down...Lv u
Mama G
Martha: It's amazing how much better rain water does on my garden, compared to hose water.
DeleteMama G: Can't wait to give you the tour of our new place. We just gotta get it painted and finish a few odds and ends.
I love a fire. Fake or otherwise. It is pouring cats and dogs here. If I remember correctly, small flakes = more snow. Big flakes = less snow. But, I tested that theory out last month. Not so much.
ReplyDeleteRight after I posted this, the flakes went back to teeny tiny again. Normally, I don't mind winter but yesterday, it was really making me achy.
DeleteHope your migraine is better today. I haven't been out and about to catchup yet on the blogs.
It's 27 degrees and snowing up a storm. I have no idea how that happens after it being 80 yesterday.
ReplyDeleteVery weird spring.
DeleteDo you really want to know that it is supposed to reach 12 C. today and that as soon as I finish reading blogs I am going out to build a raised garden out of old bricks? Everything is blooming and it is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSure I really want to know. That's fantastic that you're having such a sunshine outside kind of day. Looking forward to those.
DeleteLove the fake fireplace. We got freezing rain, cold temps, and LOTS of snow overnight. The school buses were cancelled for the kids! April 15! Boo! Hope it warms up and melts sooner than later!
ReplyDeleteImagine, cancelling school half-way through April. My goodness. Hope you got to bake something yummy last night.
DeleteFor me? Two glasses of wine, a fireplace and . . . snuggling.
ReplyDeleteYep! that's the perfect evening!
Agreed, simple is best.
DeleteSorry to hear about back problems. We haven't seen any snow this year and it has been springy warm for months, but this week we have a sudden freeze with temps down to 10*C, I love it since it reminds me of Autumn
ReplyDeleteAutumn is such a great time of year. Glad you're having a nice day there.
DeleteI'm jealous of your fake fireplace. It's not cold here (by northern standards) but it's raining. blah.
ReplyDeleteWe play it right through the Xbox or the the BluRay player. It's silly but I love the fireplace.
DeleteI got all of the above.....
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Linda :o)
Hope the flowers are okay near you.
DeleteWe're getting snow here right now. Cold too. But it will be nice by the weekend!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping for a nice weekend.
Deletewe got rain and wind
ReplyDeleteThat's not too bad, eh?
DeleteBloody cold at work today!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a weird spring.
DeleteCold and it snowed for us too. I'm so tired of winter I almost wept in desperation.
ReplyDeleteWell, okay, that's an exaggeration, but I wasn't happy about it, I can tell you! :)
Yesterday was the first day when I didn't enjoy seeing the show. I had it in my head to go out and about and for my spine to be warm.
DeleteI nearly wept in frustration - but instead, I put Lucy on and waited for it to pass.
Oh, that sure looks cozy!
ReplyDeleteIt really is. It's a small space but really, for just reading or watching a movie, it's perfect.
DeleteAnd when I'm in there, I actually rest. Instead of think, oh I gotta do dishes, laundry or bills.
I had no idea one little room could be so great.
