Friday Question: What's for Lunch?

Today, I'm still sorting and tossing paper work.  I'm up to eight well-packed big bags of shreds. Whew.  Feels good.

Anyway, I just stopped for lunch.  Leftover mash and sausage, ginger peach tea, and grapes for dessert.  Not sure about supper yet.

What's on your plate?

    1. Thank you for using the Hungarian words.

You know, Mamam made the best French toast and tomato leves. Though I often ate her palacsinta with the tomato soup. I don't know why, but I really dug that combo.

I miss cooking with her. She had the best kitchen. Just the most fun, ever.

    2. that's how we call it here in Vojvodina too :) Bundas kenyer has always been one of my fave foods. It's a tradition to eat palacsinta with paradicsomleves here as well! Or with sajtas teszta :)

    3. That is very cool.

I am most jealous that you live so close to Mamam's homeland.

    1. I love lunches like that as well. So good. I also like breakfast light like that sometimes as well. When I'm not eating waffle sticks.

Did you get a good bunch of grapes? Our local Aldi had some nice ones this past week. A buck a pound, which thrilled me.

    2. Yeah I did. But the only grapes here that have any flavour are the white. The reds and the purples are hard and tasteless.

    3. Oh, white? I've never had a white grape. I've had a pretty light green, but never a white. Now I want to try one of those.

I love hearing what you are all eating.

Thanks for stopping back and boogie boogie.

    1. The same sandwich each day, or do you change up the innards?

  6. For lunch, nothing special. For dinner, pasta and a Gardein Chick'n scallopini (vegan) with a nice Bordeaux. [sigh] Fed, fat, dumb and tired.

    1. I never got my butt in the kitchen so we ordered a pizza. I didn't even get to make dough today. For shame, for shame.

Hope whatever you had was yummy.

  8. Sald for lunch (mixed greens, white mushrooms, hard-boiled eggs and mozarella cheese).

For dinner, I'd planned a pan of lasagna and garlic bread, but it's already 86 degrees here. Too hot to have the oven on!

    1. Nothing like a good salad. Feta for me. That's the only cheese I like on salad. Tim though, will eat pretty much any kind of cheese on his salad.

So I'm guessing not to much baking in Texas during the summer, eh?

  10. Nothing like a good blow out. I've never had the chance to eat a proper full English breakfast but based on what I've seen, I would enjoy it.

  11. Sounds like a great lunch. I had leftovers; chicken rice and mashed potatoes. I prefer light lunches, but hubby and I decided to finish off the leftovers or else toss them. I hate tossing out food. It's such a shame.

I should start cleaning up my paperwork, too. I have files and files of old bills and stuff that are no longer necessary. Cleaning all that up would be a great project for a rainy day.

    1. That's what we like to do as well. Eat up the leftover bits. That's why I went the mash, it needed gobbled up.

You have a lot of paperwork stuff to, eh? Oy. So much. I've got it down to piles that make sense now. Taking a break today (now Saturday).

  13. Well, it's breakfast time here. I had a bowl of Trix. But, yesterday I had a yogurt. I can't behave ALL the time =P

    1. I am picky about my yoghurt, but I do enjoy it. Thinking about learning to make my own.

      Happy Saturday.
