I Want Bacon

The question is, how much do I want bacon?  Enough to get dressed and hit the market on a Saturday? And this is yummy uncured bacon where it isn't overloaded on salt.

So flippin' good.

In other news, Bug got up last night and I pretended to be asleep, and instead of her normal antics, she jumped back in bed.  Even better, I'm not all spinal sore from lack of sleep.

So maybe I will go get that bacon.  Goes great with waffles.

What's for breakfast at your house?

  1. You go get that bacon! Its good for your soul. I had some about an hour ago, and to be perfectly honest, it has been the highlight of my day. But then, bacon usually is...

    1. Why is bacon so flippin' good?

Back when I was a veghead, I sometimes ate facon. Had to stop because it gave me headaches.

    1. No bacon and sardines? Or like on I Love Lucy, when she wanted a sundae and sardines. Yikes.

  3. Glad bug didn't keep you up again.

I agree - go get that bacon! My breakfast was mini-wheats (the Sally's Cereal kind) and they are really doing it for me lately.

    1. Today was better. It's hard to pretend to be sleeping when she starts to cry but I have to get her off this whack-a-do schedule.

I enjoy that kind of cereal, dry as a snack.

  4. I love Canadian Bacon - which of course is really ham. Anydoodles, rather than sausage, I think bacon goes better with pancakes and waffles Haven't had breakfast yet, but I usually don't eat breakfast anyways - not good at all; prone to weight gain. Cheers!!

    1. Have you always gained weight from eating breakfast? I've not heard that before.

  5. No breakfast in the house on Saturdays. We go to Bob Evans (restaurant). I didn't get bacon today, though (I had sausage and eggs, which I hadn't had in awhile). Now I'm wishing I had bacon. I love bacon! The crisper the better.

    1. This is what I love about bacon, it's good so many ways. Crispy not crispy. Just so yummy.

I've never eaten at a Bob Evans before. We don't usually do breakfast out because of all my cooking but I did used to like Jersey diners for breakfast, any time of day.

    1. I'm sorry Dezzy, I did buy it. It's uncured and so much better tasting than facon. Plus, the facon I used to get also had an ingredient that doubled as an industrial cleaner.

  8. I don't really cook for myself... I'll get breakfast on campus, depending on how early I'm about, or an early lunch. Some days it'll just be oatmeal or a fruit dish, other days pancakes or eggs.

  14. So, did you get the bacon? I'm not a big fan of it, but my husband LOVES it. I usually prefer a light breakfast. Oatmeal is a favourite, fresh fruit, some yogurt...that kind of stuff.

    1. Have you tried uncured bacon? I really love it because it's cleaner tasting than regular. Or, I think anyway.

Love the oatmeal, fresh fruit and yoghurts as well. All good stuff.

  15. I do miss real bacon sometimes. Reg can't handle pork at all so I am envious!
