Today's lunch kicked butt. A big bowl of Broccoli & Chipotle Cheddar Soup. Made from little bits I had left in the fridge. Tossed in Muenster at the end, and I'm glad that I did.
So flippin' good.
Meanwhile, I had a great morning writing and testing bakes. Can't wait to get up tomorrow and do it all over again.
So ... what's for lunch at your house/office/kitchen?
I'm having the same thing I do every day at work - sandwich, apple, pretzels, and a food bar.ReplyDelete
What's in the sandwich?Delete
My lunch was yummy, but boring--Campbell's Italian Wedding soup and Ritz crackers.ReplyDelete
I made that a few times at work, when they had me prep, hot side. People really dig that soup. And those little meatballs are fun. Even though ours were buy-in meatballs, they were bad for what they were.Delete
Well, I'm at work so I buy my lunch. Probably a Subway sub and diet Coke today, I think.ReplyDelete
What's your favorite sub?Delete
Turkey breast and ham on Italian Herb & Cheese bun.Delete
Oh, I LOVE a nice seasoned sub roll. So flippin' good. Do you have a Wegmans near you? I am not sure if they are US stores only, or not?Delete
I actually had cauliflower soup for lunch. Saved the cauliflower itself and will make a gratin tomorrow with sour cream.ReplyDelete
Yum on the cauliflower. I love when they go onsale. If I had some, I would have happily dumped it in my soup pot today.Delete
Any bread with your soup? I have a slicing loaf in the oven now, as part of my morning test batch work.
I don't eat much bread. Pastries and flour aren't really good for health, so I eat maybe a bread a week.Delete
Nothing wrong with a good wholemeal loaf. That's what we had tonight. New formula and loaf pan, I'm working with.Delete
How about all that mayo and pickled veg? With the overload of salt in the pickling and the fatty fat in the mayo?
I don't eat mayo too often and I eat the vegetable based one, without eggs :) We pickle our vegs ourselves without too much salt and without conservativesDelete
I used to eat vegan mayo, but it still had lots of fat, but I enjoyed it and really, I believe all things in moderation.Delete
Nothing like canning veg - just for me, I don't care for the overly salted home-canned veggies. But I LOVE the spicy Hungarian peppers when canned. So good.
Oh, that looks Sooooo good! I had microwaved butter beans for lunch....ReplyDelete
Was it yummy?Delete
Mmm, that soup looks delish! I had an orange...ReplyDelete
I love oranges. So yummy.Delete
I had French toast for lunch.ReplyDelete
Have you been baking lately?Delete
Hey Ray, how goes you?Delete
Oooo, yummy. Lunch at my house was a fistful of turkey breast and almonds, shoved in between nursing sessions (had a sick kiddo).ReplyDelete
Sorry to read that you have a sick kiddo on your hands. :-(Delete
That looks like a yummy soup. Love adding cheese to soup, it makes it so good! Today I had leftover chicken and rice for lunch, pretty good. :)ReplyDelete
Ohh, I love chicken. And chicken soup. And Hungarian paprika chicken, and baked chicken and ... and ... and ...Delete
