I love baking. And since I don't go to work until later tonight, I've got plenty of time to bake, bake, bake.
This whole
100 Days of Baking challenge has really made all those Cinderella shifts better. Now I don't feel so trapped and worthless - which is nice.
Instead, I'm writing bakes each day and testing them. At the end, I'll have 100 sheets done, click
Best Husband Ever, if you want to see the progress sheets.
Meanwhile, here's a few things I've done so far.

Horseradish Cracker - does it have a kick?
ReplyDeleteStill dig the dog picture with the Steeler towel.
Alex: They weren't too bad. But next time I might up the cheese by 25g. Just for a little more of a bite.
ReplyDeleteOr use some horseradish root.
Ooh, we want horse radish cracker recipe!
ReplyDeleteThe first pic reminds me of my own cheese finger crackers.
My wife bakes like crazy as well - makes losing weight in my house that much harder, but she's worth it.
ReplyDeletePut me down for one garlic cheese blob! Although, you might want to rethink the name there...
ReplyDeleteDEZZY: Cheese fingers, I almost went with a long finger-like shape. Maybe next batch.
ReplyDeleteJohn: It does make it hard to lose weight, that's for sure.
Stacy: I know horrible name, but they were all blob-like before I baked them.

I'd gladly taste-test all those goodies!
ReplyDeleteDebra: Always good to have taste testers.
ReplyDeleteI know - you can call them Garlic Cheese Delights!
ReplyDeleteGarlic and cheese are more than welcome in cooking!
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued by the horseradish.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried to make crackers. They look so good.
ReplyDeleteI so envy those who can bake. :(
ReplyDeleteI can cook (I'm actually a rather good cook truth be told) but I can't bake to save my butt.
It's all those precise measurements and exact times and temperatures. Those things freak me out. ;)
My wife is holding my dice hostage until I get recipes for the blobs and the crackers! HEEEELP!
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look yummy.
ReplyDeletelooks great
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it's breakfast time as you have made me hungry
ReplyDeleteIan
Why am I not surprised my friend Gloria Dear's here already? Cookies.... that's why ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a beter job than me, that's for sure. I could bake a cookie to save my life.
The chocolate almond cookies look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThose chocolate almond cookies look delicious!
ReplyDeleteThey look yummy ~ I am envious as I can't bake days and days ~
ReplyDeleteEverything looks luscious, but Monday's bake on the right looks especially tasty.
ReplyDeleteI've wondered about making crackers. I really miss eating my Townhouse crackers. These look great, though! Do they have the light flaky taste of store-bought crackers?
ReplyDeleteThose crackers look so cute. Now all you need is some dip to go with them.
ReplyDeleteThose look yummy! They make me want to go bake something. Unless, you are close by and I can just hop over and eat some of yours :D
ReplyDeleteCrackers??? That's awesome! I guess I don't really think about making them~you don't come across too many cracker recipes in cooking magazines or cooking shows, which are my main connection to the culinary world :)
ReplyDeleteBeware the BLOB! I love the name. I'd have to taste that if I saw it in a bakery. The name would lure me in. The garlic would most likely bring me back ;D
ReplyDeleteHi all your bakes look awesome. The horseradish cracker look very addictive.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead,regards.
Stacy: I just made more yesterday but with pepper jack. But I'm still calling them blobs because they are just so blob-like when I bake them.
ReplyDeleteWilliam: Agreed :-)
Ken: Just bought more horseradish cheese today. Good stuff.
Susan: Thanks, they still need more work. Did another batch today, but burnt them.
Bad baker.
Barking: Oh, no, no. No need to be freaked out. I'm tellin' ya it's so much fun.
Boric: As soon as I get it right, it's all hers. I made another batch today but burnt them. Different shape, left them in a wee bit too long.
mshatch: Thank you.
Adam: Thanks.
Ian: Hope you had something yummy.
Grumpy: Not even to save your life?
Optimistic: Thank you.
Sherry: Thanks.
Grace: Why can't you bake?
Sandra: That Monday's bake was a tester and it ended up making a nice piece of toast.
Nicole: Why don't you eat Townhouse crackers anymore?
I'm not sure how to answer your question about light and flaky store-bought, since I don't find store crackers to be either.
Niki: Dip, that's a good idea.
Scribbles: Sure, pop on over. I have tea, coffee or juice.
Jess: Hello Mama - how's baby number two going?
Kim: I love that you capped BLOB. I made another batch last night and I can't help it, I still call them blobs. Because they are so blob-like before getting baked.
Amelia: Horseradish cheese is a lot of fun. Just bought two more bricks of it on my ride home from work tonight.
Dear Happy whisk, when you have time I would like the chocolate cookies recipe, I love them:)
ReplyDeleteIf you can!
Yay for baking making those Cinderella shifts more tolerable. :) We like to hear that. Lovely photos and munchies! I'll take those crackers AND the cookies, nom nom NOM!!
