I finished. 9,500 words, 40 double spaced pages, and a very happy writer. Feels good to be in this moment.
My reward? Four clean chickens and a new Food Savor.
But right now, I got me some Nickelback to listen to, while I have myself a damn good jog.
I finished a story today too! 9,000+ words. Yes, it does feel good. :)ReplyDelete
Do a victory lap!ReplyDelete
Congrats babe. Now I can finally read it. *gets out a new big blue pencil* muhahaReplyDelete

Tom: Good job on the story. Very nice to hear.ReplyDelete
Scarlett and James: The entire set was a victory lap.
Poopyhead: It's time for the Big Blue Pencil. Dun, dun, dun. And four clean chickens and a new food savor. Woohoo.
Bard: Feels so good.
Matt: I dunno if I would do that here, but I appreciate the interest.
Dungeonmum: Thanks. Hope your project is kicking butt, as well.
austrodavicus: Much thanks for the comment and the interest. Not sure if this is the blog I'd post an excerpt on.
Rusty: Thanks, Snookums. Going to miss you on Mondays :-(
Niki: Thanks for the drop by. I'm pretty darn content right now. Hugs.
If not here, then where? We gotta know!ReplyDelete
Very well done! I can imagine that happiness. They may just be a number, but those 9,500 represent a lot of energy and emotion.
Porky: Talked to Tim about it a bit on the ride to the game store. I'm reconsidering an excerpt.ReplyDelete
Yes, the happiness is good. It's been a long hall with that bugger and I'm mighty happy to be in this moment.
Thanks for stopping by and getting me to reconsider the whole excerpt thing.
All the best with your manuscript!ReplyDelete
Congrats! Must be a great feeling!!ReplyDelete
Much thanks, Kris and Eagle.ReplyDelete

Jai: Thanks much. Big hug, back'atcha.ReplyDelete
Susan: It is very cool, and very soon, time to get crackin' on the next one.
Risus: Thanks for the congrats. But really, it's just writing. Sit ass to chair and that's that.
Before you post an exerpt, you should check whether a publisher will have objections to printing anything you've published, even partially, before.ReplyDelete
That aside, congratulations!
Harald: Very true. Some publishers get their panties in a bunch over that. Thanks and thanks for the congratulations. Feels pretty darn good.ReplyDelete
That's awesome! Congratulations!!ReplyDelete
Daisey: Love the photos on your page today.ReplyDelete
Woot woot! I have been so out of the loop I am just reading this now!! Way to go Ivy! I need to get back on the pot and read more of your fabulous blog! i absolutely love my foodsaver contraption. It is hard to keep from sealing everything in sight!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Lori: I had a FoodSaver back in the day, but after so many years, he died. Thanks for stopping by and catching up. I know you've been busy. Still no grill for us.ReplyDelete
Happy Eating :-)
