Haven't Done a Damn Thing

Nada.  Zip.  Zilch.

But in my defense ... I did just finish a manuscript.

And I know, I was supposed to get cracking on book two yesterday, along with the Etsy site.  But it's really hard to get that stuff done, when I have a new FoodSaver.

I just wanna suck the air out of everything.

I cut the bags into strips, used not from concentrate juice, and made frozen juice pops.  I love this new toy.

And for Tim, sugar mash peaches with whipped cream.  I even made scones.  Only I don't have a picture with those, because we gobbled them up last night.

Num num num.

  2. iZombie: It's no way to get book two written, but it sure is a fun way to spend the week.

  3. It sounds like you actually did a lot. Congrats on the finish and good luck getting the next one going.

  4. I think it's allowed to take a break after finishing a manuscript. Besides you must test the new toy to make sure it works properly.

  5. Those frozen pops sound great, Rome wasn't built in a day, you've got to take it easy now and again.

  6. LOL, you're hilarious, wanting to suck the air out of everything. And you deserve a break if you've just finished a ms, so there!

  7. Susan: Well, I finally got all the dishes from last night, done. Poopyhead is at golf so I'm trying to get at least some chores done before he gets home. Think we'll do appetizer night, followed by chocolate chip scone/biscuity kind of goodness.

Suzan: That is true. I think I'll need a bit more testing. You know ... just to be sure. Make sure everything is working properly. Probably should crack open the big roll of FoodSaver bags too. Just to make sure they work as good as the quart size.

Lurker: At this rate I'm not even going to get the sidewalk leading to Rome, built. But I'm sure having fun with my new toy. Her name is Matilda.

Carol: It's just so fun. Had one of these machines a long time ago but after many many uses, he died.

  11. William: So that you was you?

Alex: Thanks, it's fun to celebrate the summer solstice and the manuscript. But soon I really do need to get ass to chair and get back to work.

But just not tonight ... Gonna have me a wee bit more fun in the kitchen, first.

  12. Finishing a manuscript is a very big deal! So is cooking. My mouth is watering.

  13. KarenG: Do you enjoy cooking? As for your question about the next big thing. Gosh, I couldn't say. But there does always seem to be something new and fun.

  14. I think you're allowed to take a break after finishing a manuscript. A mini-celebration. And what better way than with a fun new toy and food!

  15. I say take it easy too. Play around and top up the batteries. That new tech looks good, and very versatile.

  16. Oh, you must take a break after finishing a manuscript! I think it's a rule or something. (You did get the writing rule book, didn't you?)

  19. Those peaches actually have me drooling, part of that might be because we are still eating leftover Origins convention snacks, having not made it out to the grocery store yet.

  20. DocStout: Hope you had fun at Origins. Too bad you and Tim didn't get to meet each other. As for convention snacks ... I dunno about those ... sometimes those are fun and then it gets to a point for me where I just want real food.
