It's lunchtime and I'm not sure what to make. Maybe a batch of homemade chicken meatballs and sauce. Although, sweet potatoes sound good, too. Or maybe pancakes.
Yep. That's the one. Pancakes sound the best. How about you? What's for lunch, at your house?
My lunch was a large spinach salad with mushrooms (HEALTHY) and leftover pizza.(not!)
ReplyDeleteSpinach and mushrooms is a great combo. Yum.
DeleteNo lunch. Ate breakfast late, so will have an early dinner. Enjoy your pancakes!
ReplyDeletePower went out and we never got to have any of it. Maybe tomorrow or later.
DeleteI thought you were going to say waffles. I baked some chicken. Some will have it for dinner too.
ReplyDeleteLove baked chicken. So good.
DeleteThe pancake recipe is one that I wrote for the waffle maker but it might serve better for pancakes. Was gonna test, until power went out.
I had pancakes for breakfast. Just had cereal for lunch.
ReplyDeleteYum. What kind of cereal?
DeleteI had French toast for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteI love French toast. Yum.
DeleteOoh, lunch?! Yes, it;s 1:15. must get on that. Prolly a slab of bread (or toast) with Peanut butter and about my 3rd cup of tea for the day. lol.
ReplyDeletePancakes always work. had that last night in fact. used up the leftover mix. Perfect food as it snowed most of the day too. Glorious with sticky syrup.
Peanut butter toast is one of my hubby's favorite things to eat. So yummy.
DeleteLove pancakes for supper, lunch or anytime of day. Yum.
Looks like we're on the same wave length. I made a wicked batch of savoury crepes (meaning salt, no sugar).
ReplyDeleteI then roll them up and slice them to make a kind of noodle for my homemade chicken soup.
This was something mother did when we were kids and it's a given when chicken soup is served to have crepe noodles.
Of course - I did fill one (or 3) with grape jelly (I get from a client who makes amazing jelly/jam) and had those for brekkie. Double yum - or, in this case Triple yum!
Enjoy your pancakes - I love pancakes too!
Hey Jenny - Yes, I make palascintas (Hungarian pancakes which are similar to crepes). Both savoury and sweet ones. I do the same, shred them to use as a pasta or as a roll up for many many fillings.
DeleteGood stuff.
Nothing like homemade lekvar (jam). Killer stuff and far better than anything industrial.
Glad you had a good meal. Yum.
I feasted on them all day - that's how many I made… and with no one around to elbow me aside, well… I done myself proud!
DeleteThat's what we do when I make them. I enjoy them room temp.
DeleteNum, num, num.
I missed breakfast and lunch (work was crazy!) so I just got home and had some smoked oysters.
ReplyDeleteRead your post, hope your feet are good and warm by now. Neat about the blanket.
DeleteI had pancakes for breakfast. But yes, I think they'd be pretty good for lunch, too!
ReplyDeleteDo you ever make Bubba pancakes in the shape of the letter, B?
DeleteWe are having pancakes for dinner! Along with sausage.
ReplyDeleteYum on both of those.
DeleteVery weird. I made pancakes for late breakfast, early lunch today. Then one of my sons brought pizza for dinner. Gloomy foggy out but lots of hot deliciousness inside.
ReplyDeleteSo many are into pancakes. And why not? They are super duper yummy. What kind of pizza?
DeleteI had rice with soup and an eggplant dish. Dinner was fried rice. I'll probably be having rice with something else later on too..wow..I'm 'Rice Girl'. Nice to meet you Happy Whisk! ^.^
ReplyDeleteHey Sharon. I ate rice twice today. Love the rice, not a big fan of the arsenic though.
DeleteNice to meet you too.
Ahhh it's Sunday, E monkey and I had lunch with Papa MB OUT. :) Burger king today!
ReplyDeleteLoved that monkey card. Did you ever find out where they are and if so, did you buy them all up?
DeleteYesterday was burger and fries.
ReplyDeleteYummers.
DeletePancakes are good any time of day. Ask my husband who inhales them. His very top food. Along with waffles. Mornin', Wonder Woman!
ReplyDeleteThe two are just so good. Yum yum.
DeleteToday I'm making bean soup, leftover ham bone. Nothing to dangerous about that, as long as there's plenty of air freshener! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
I love using leftovers in soup. So useful and yummy.
