I'm hanging out in the movie room, suckin' on garlic like some witchy women, trying to heal this thing growing on the inside of my cheek.
There's two passed out pups and one Christmas movie playing. I still haven't eaten yet because I'm food moody, so I looked through my photos and found this one.
Sweet potatoes cooked in refined coconut oil and topped with good honey. This is one of my go-to quick fires when NOTHING else sounds good.
Meanwhile, I still need at least one more day of rest. Thanks for the all the well-wishes yesterday. Hope to be back in my lab tomorrow.
Those sweet potatoes look awesome and I wish my better half liked them. Sounds great cooking in coconut oil and a honey topping. Hope you're doing better now!ReplyDelete
I find the coconut oil does a better job than any of the other oils, I've used because it lets the potato, taste of potato. I do this with any kind, really.Delete
Also, I do like to use chicken fat on the white potatoes too. That makes a nice diner-ish breakfast treat.
Do you ever make the sweet potatoes just for you? If not, how come? If so, good on ya.
That sounds tasty. I take it you've got a blister in the mouth.ReplyDelete
Not sure, think so, canker something like that. Horrible little fucker, I'll say that much.Delete
Hahaha. I used to get those. I don't anymore, don't know why.Delete
This is my first one ever on the inside of my mouth. Oh my gosh, horrible, if that's what it is.Delete
Glad you don't get them anymore. That is wonderful.
I love sweet potatoes!!ReplyDelete
Your lemon crepes looked yummy. I never did lemon before. Will try. Thanks.
Yum. Sweet potatoes.ReplyDelete
Sweet potatoes with honey sounds delicious. Rest up and get better soon.ReplyDelete
Hey Miss Holly. I read your post today, much luck and fun to you in all your new goals. Here's to 2015.Delete
Food Moody. Love that. I have my go to foods too. But those sweet pots might be my new one.ReplyDelete
Glad to hear you can relate. What's your food moody to-go foods?Delete
Hope you feel much better tomorrow.ReplyDelete
Me too, thanks.Delete
Sorry, way too sweet for me. I like sweet potatoes but honey as well, no thanks. Hope you feel better and the thing in your cheek goes down.ReplyDelete
I read your blog today, yikes, double yikes and triple yikes. Hope things get better for you and your honey bunny, soon.Delete
I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling better! But at least you're relaxing and taking care of yourself. I LOVE sweet potatoes. Great choice. And believe it or not, I never tried them until my late 30s or early 40s, somewhere around there. True - and sad - story :)ReplyDelete
Thanks, Martha. If for some reason I have to rest again tomorrow, I'll be able to play with my new art program.Delete
Not a bad way to spend an afternoon, eh? Yes, on relaxing. But now, I can be done.
Thanks for dropping by and boogie boogie.
I hear salt and vinegar potato chips are good for a sore throat, if your garlic clove gets old. :) Hope you feel better!ReplyDelete
I love sweet potatoes...this way of fixing them looks wonderful!
I've never had salt and vinegar chips before, but I would try them. The salt tastes good to me on anything, right now.Delete
I love Sweet Potatoes or Yams.ReplyDelete
When I was growing up we never had marshmallows on them for Thanksgiving. Just baked in the skin in the oven and served with salt and pepper and if we wanted some butter.
I like to eat yam like they serve them in Japan. Cooked over super hot coals served in a paper bag. You just start eating crispy skin and all, street food at it's best.
Honey is way to sweet for me. I just use a small amount. I have breathing problems if I eat to much.
Hope you feel better soon.
Hi Parsnip. That sounds like wonderful street food to me. I love a baked one with skin or on the grill.Delete
Yeah, some honeys that I taste are so gross and sweet. Yuck.
I go for good local and/or organic honey, on the raw side. Not those ones that they add sugar too. Blech.
Sorry to hear that you get breathing problems from honey. I understand what that's like with other foods.Sucks monkey balls, is what it does.
Thanks for stopping by today and boogie boogie.
I always like to stop by. Trying to catch up with blogs, bills and Gud Dugs Doctors appointments.Delete
Gud Dugs, that's so great. Hope all goes well at the doctors for them.Delete
You'll be back on your feet in no time :o)ReplyDelete
I'm rooting for you....
I've got this new art program to play with, so that helps.Delete
I hope you feel better very, very soon. Sending you a hug.ReplyDelete
That looks really good!ReplyDelete
I love them.Delete
A friend of mine uses hers in pumpkin pie. I want to try that soon. Sounds delish.
Sure looks yummy, glad your mending, take it easyReplyDelete
Food moody--that's a good one!ReplyDelete
Do you ever get food moody?Delete
This sounds very tasty! I must try that myself one day!ReplyDelete
