I'm Pooped

Long day at the restaurant, but it's a good pooped.

Good thing I have these nifty Pyrex glass covered bowls, all prepped with brown dough, and stored overnight in Ethel for quick use.  Now all I have to do is form the pizza rounds, top, bake for ten minutes and bam.  I'm done.

I love that.

In other news, last Friday was my last day at the fabric shop and I didn't even cry. And to be honest, I don't miss it.  Thought I would but instead, I feel free to move forward.

Such a big girl.

  10. I am pooped today too from my day job... hope you get some nice rest.

Thanks for stopping by earlier! I am not back to working on my WIP yet, but it's because I've been too busy with other stuff. I am over my little meltdown, and have been having some good brainstorming sessions, so once I have some free time I'll be back on it!

  14. Hanny: The girls were great but the work wasn't my passion.

    Susan: Why can't you?

Chuck Yes, she is very supportive of me working with food.

Alexia: Good deal on the brainstorming. That can be a fun thing as well. Glad you are doing well though and great hearing from you.

Neeles: I am. It's a buttload of work but it's where I should be. And that feels damn good.

Lo-Mo: Those bowls make it so easy. Pizza or foldovers, anytime. Love that. Good luck on the cake contest. Hope you girls win.

DWei: I think so, too. One morning I'll make a breakfast pizza. Saw it once on a truck, liked the idea.

  16. looking at your bread makes me miss how my mom used to make bread. I never had store bought as a small child. never. Her Anadama bread was killer.

Glad you like your new job and aren't missing the old :)

  18. Preparing like that is a good idea, and having the extra storage is always useful, for the flexibility. Will you eat four pizzas though? I'd gladly try, but still it's a lot..!

Good to hear about the fabric shop too, and moving on gladly.

And I've been busy too long and missed the Wonder Woman. Not too big a loss I guess as I'd not have been much cop.

  19. Inverse: That's a perfect word for it.

mshatch: Don't you make homemade bread? If not, why not? It's fun and ever so yummy. I don't know what Anadama bread is, but it's sure fun to say.

MG: It's a butt load of work, but feels good.

Porky: Usually I make the dough early in the day and then make something with one or two. Maybe a cheese bread. And then the next day I'll make two pizza rounds. They store well in the fridge.

Or a hot pocket or a foldover. Maybe a pepperoni roll. Anything really. That's what's so great. The dough is ready when I am. Love that.

  20. 'Ready when I am' is a good way of putting it. It's very smart. Making something more complex is much easier when some of the work is already done, and more likely too. I need to lure myself in like that.

  21. Porky: I like it a lot. And sometimes I'll make a batch of personal sized pizza and freeze them. So easy and fun.

  23. Oosh!! It's been a while since I've visited... Bad Bad human.

Congrats on the new gig, even though its a tad belated. I hear ya on the pre prepped thingys in the fridge. Nothing makes life so wonderful as finishing off a primo pie in 10 minutes.
