I like zucchini--cooked. Not sure how I could handle it in ice cream. Cream & zucchini? Yeah, I'd pass. I'm assuming you do use cream to call it ice cream.
Enjoy the Zuke-ices. Anything that uses up zukes must be a good thing. I smile when I find a recipe for zukes in the Summer and it says "one small zuke" and I think, no I want a recipe that uses ten zukes, at least.
Reason I want a recipe for ten is that they grow like crazy here once they start. I freeze them as "Courgette Squudge" and release them to include in soups, tomato sauces and anything else they want to be in over the winter.
Sometimes when I visit your blog I am sure I am reading something an alien wrote. A Zuke? Never heard of it, but it will be in an upcoming story, I am sure of it.
Sounds interesting. By zukes you mean the squash type? I never had zucchini ice cream before. Have fun.:)
ReplyDeleteYeppers Gloria :-) Summer squash, crooknecks, marrow, courgette, zucchini or simply, zukes.
DeleteI tested a small batch the other day and it worked nicely with the fruit.
Today I make a BIG BATCH.
How was it?
DeleteDarn good. Click next post :-)
DeleteSounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteIt was, see next post for the pictures.
DeleteGad Zukes!
ReplyDeleteLove that, stole it for my title.
DeleteI love that Gad Zukes. To me seems an odd thing for ice cream.
ReplyDeleteWorked well, the creamy white flesh blended nicely without compromising taste or texture.
DeleteAsparagus soup is on the stove-top, as I type.
Zucchini ice cream? That's a first.
ReplyDeleteThe white creamy zuke flesh makes for a great base for a fruitie frozen yum.
DeleteAs in zucchini? You try it first.
ReplyDeleteIt could work in smoothies, too.
DeleteWell, you never know until you try it. I like cucumbers and melon together, so why not? :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Why not?
DeleteZucchini in ice cream???
ReplyDeleteWhy not?
DeleteI'll be interested in hearing the results!
ReplyDeleteThanks bunches.
DeleteWhat kind of salad dressing are you going to use for the ice cream's topping?
ReplyDeleteRanch? Nah, that's too gross.
DeleteGad Zukes!
ReplyDeleteIndeed.

ReplyDeleteHey Stacy - I cheat, as all of my ice creams and frozen yums are dairy-free.
DeleteZucchini in ice cream?
ReplyDeleteYeppers. And was goooood.

ReplyDeleteTen at least? You really do love them. Cool beaners. What's your favorite way to eat them?
DeleteReason I want a recipe for ten is that they grow like crazy here once they start.

They grow like mad here, too. People give them away. Though I won't eat the ones from pesticide gardens. Yuck, they're so smelly and that taste, YUCK!
DeleteBut a good heirloom/organic one. Now we're talking.
You're right, pesticide soup is not a good idea.
DeleteAll our vegetables are organic, so you would be OK with ours.
Zuchinni ice cream? there is such a thing? Whoa! this WILL be interesting!
ReplyDeleteHi Michael - it worked with much success.
DeleteI love Courgette, but I've never had it as ice-cream???
ReplyDeleteNot ever? Not even once?
DeleteSometimes when I visit your blog I am sure I am reading something an alien wrote. A Zuke? Never heard of it, but it will be in an upcoming story, I am sure of it.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading that.
DeleteSo, did you do it? Share the results!
ReplyDeleteHey Martha, it worked great. I just posted about it with how-to and pictures. So yummy. Thanks for asking.
DeleteHow goes you? Overcast here.
