Who likes chicken and waffles? We love 'em. The crispy chicken served on a fresh waffle. Real maple syrup. Absolute treat.
Yum, yum, yum.
How about you? Have you tried chicken and waffles? If so, what did you think? If not, would you give it a go?
PS: The answer to last week's Friday Question was, organic black chia seeds. I took the picture with my camera and loved how it looked. Thanks to everyone for playing.
Cheers and boogie boogie.
I've seen it on a couple restaurant shows but never tried it. Yes, it looks delicious. And probably a full day's serving of calories.
ReplyDeleteChicken & waffles, that should be an annoying kid's song that they sing over and over and you find yourself humming when doing the dishes and hating yourself for it.
ReplyDeleteI love chicken & waffles. I was never sure about it. Then I saw an episode of Man vs his stomach and he went to a restaurant Gladys Knight (& the Pips lady) owned. Her place made them and they looked fantastic. So as soon as I saw them on a menu I ordered them. And it was good.
nope, you crazy Americans mixing meat and bacon and salty things with sweet things, ice cream, cookies, syrup, chocolate... is the craziest thing ever.....
ReplyDeleteThe only meat I like with waffles is bacon. Have never tried chicken with them. We don't see that option on menus here in Canada.
ReplyDeleteNever had it, not a big fan of either, but my family would!
ReplyDeleteI haven't, but it sounds good!
ReplyDeleteChicken and waffles do not appeal to me. Maple syrup must stay away from meat. It's only allowed on pancakes and waffles. At least when it's headed for my mouth, anyway! :)
ReplyDeleteI like both, but they're foods that I think should be best kept apart.
ReplyDeleteI'm with William...I also love both and do think they should be kept apart; I do love waffles with fresh berries and maple syrup. Chicken with rice, or potatoes is the 'ideal' pairing for me!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried it, but I'm game!
ReplyDeleteGoodness give it a try. Life is short jump in and enjoy something different!
ReplyDeleteBut they must be good waffles and great fried chicken.
It is so good !
Here is another idea that will blow their minds.... In Tucson we have "Lovin' Spoonfuls" fabulous vegetarian restaurant. On Sundays we go for brunch and order the most wonderful Belgian Waffles with the best crispy battered soy based chicken that I have ever had. It is so good that I order it when ever I go there. Yummy !
cheers, parsnip
I've passed that by a few times. I don't like sweet syrup on meat.
ReplyDeleteI've never had it or seen it on the menu but I'd be willing to try it!
ReplyDeleteBlack chia seeds? Never in a MILLION years would I have thought it was that. You did good with that photo. Great choice for contests.
ReplyDeleteCrispy chicken served on a fresh waffle...hmmm.... I have no idea. I've never tried that. Sounds interesting, though, and very tasty.
As a vegetarian, I just like waffles
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone who played along, today. I enjoyed reading the comments and it's interesting because more bloggers ate snails (a prior Friday Question), than they are willing to eat chicken and waffles.
ReplyDeleteWho knew? Now we do.
Cheers and boogie boogie. See ya'll next Friday.
