GRAB AND GO

This weekend I have two, count 'em two days off in a row. And lemme tell ya', I'm gonna play, play, play.

In other news, Tim made serious progress on the updated shared office and photography space. I predict many, many new photos to come.

In other, other news, I meal prepped yesterday so when I get home late tonight food is ready. I also started Saturday lunches so if we hit the road, we have homemade food ready to grab and go.

Love, love, love that.

Well Boogerbutts, that's all for today. Just a quick pop-in post. Long shift today although I gotta say, feels like it's gonna be a good one. Chat again soon.

Huggs and Bugs, Me.

    1. Oh yeah, those four-day weekends are the best. So refreshing and recharging.

Thanks. We like to bring our lunches with us on days out. That doesn't always mean we won't stop to get something on the way home, however it does help if we plan ahead.

Saw your post. Hope that's the last of the thing on your leg. I hadn't heard that before. Sounds painful. Wishing you a one and done!

  6. That sounds like great planning. My son works retail and rarely gets two consecutive days off. So that's a treat!

    1. I get that. Retail is a beast at times. Really sucks all the hours out of a week.

    1. Hey Karen. Been enjoying your last two posts. Writen very, very well. Pulls me right into your story and life.

Meal prep is wonderful. I don't always do it and need to get better at it. When I do, do it though, man alive, it's nice.

    1. Hey Photowanna be. I'm generally a pretty happy gal. My husband named me The Happy Whisk based on real-life. And in real-life when I'm grumpy he calls me The Grumpy Spatula. I even did a cartoon on it. He cracks me up.

  11. Even though I no longer work, I do have a couple of days during the week where I have a place to be. Yesterday I didn’t go to one and that felt like a vacation! Taking a day or days off is sometimes needed to prevent burnout.

Have a fun fun fun weekend! 🙃

  14. There's nothing quite like having meals prepped in advance. It's worth the effort that it takes.

    1. That's true. Working bakery hours/retail doesn't always come with two days off in a row. Here's hoping the new job allows for that at least once per month.

  18. I sometimes meal prep for the next day by cooking extra so next day I only have to fry up leftovers.

    1. Hey River! Cooking a little extra is wonderful. Back in the day it was one big meal, eat it until it's gone sorta way. There's a good thing to that method for sure. Thanks for popping in.

  21. I love having foo already done at the end of the day...even though I no longer work. Always loved something I could leave in the crockpot and it be ready when I got home back in those days.

I hope your two days off are filled with fun and that you get to totally enjoy them.

    1. When you see how much fun it is to draw directly on the tablet, I bet, though I'm not sure, you'll love it. Quick short story: When I bought my first tablet it was 100 dollars extra for the pen. That little pen was a game changer because it helped me draw cartoons on screen. Heaven I say. Heaven.
