In other news, Tim made serious progress on the updated shared office and photography space. I predict many, many new photos to come.
In other, other news, I meal prepped yesterday so when I get home late tonight food is ready. I also started Saturday lunches so if we hit the road, we have homemade food ready to grab and go.
Love, love, love that.
Well Boogerbutts, that's all for today. Just a quick pop-in post. Long shift today although I gotta say, feels like it's gonna be a good one. Chat again soon.
Huggs and Bugs, Me.
2 days off in a row is so nice. I had that this week too and got lots done. Now, I'm off to work too. Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, it really is. I love that you got lots done. That's the best. Hope your work day went well. Happy Weekend and boogie boogie.
DeleteLooking forward to some photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Alex. I look forward to sharing them.
DeleteI hope you enjoy your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lori! You too!
DeleteI love days when I have a meal ready or my husband is cooking!
ReplyDelete100% Last night Hubby cooked the supper and today we're out with packed lunches. Delightful. Happy Weekend to you both, Marie. Thanks for stopping in.
Deleteway back before retirement I would take Fri/Mon as vac day and 4 days in a row. I loved it, which means I am feeling your feelings with you. have fun, good idea to get the food ready for transport. hope the weather is wonderful..
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, those four-day weekends are the best. So refreshing and recharging.
DeleteThanks. We like to bring our lunches with us on days out. That doesn't always mean we won't stop to get something on the way home, however it does help if we plan ahead.
Saw your post. Hope that's the last of the thing on your leg. I hadn't heard that before. Sounds painful. Wishing you a one and done!
Have a fabulous weekend, you two!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debra! You too!
DeleteThat sounds like great planning. My son works retail and rarely gets two consecutive days off. So that's a treat!
ReplyDeleteI get that. Retail is a beast at times. Really sucks all the hours out of a week.
DeleteHurrah for two days off!! Enjoy yourself immensely.
ReplyDeleteSaw your baket this morning, Sandra! The bread looks AMAZING!
DeleteTwo days off and the possibility of an adventure. Life is good!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy!
DeleteI always meal prep too when I have open days.
ReplyDeleteHey Karen. Been enjoying your last two posts. Writen very, very well. Pulls me right into your story and life.
DeleteMeal prep is wonderful. I don't always do it and need to get better at it. When I do, do it though, man alive, it's nice.
You always seem so cheerful on your blog. Hope your day at work goes well and your 2 days off in a row feel like a vacation. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteSue
Hey Photowanna be. I'm generally a pretty happy gal. My husband named me The Happy Whisk based on real-life. And in real-life when I'm grumpy he calls me The Grumpy Spatula. I even did a cartoon on it. He cracks me up.
DeleteEven though I no longer work, I do have a couple of days during the week where I have a place to be. Yesterday I didn’t go to one and that felt like a vacation! Taking a day or days off is sometimes needed to prevent burnout.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun fun fun weekend! 🙃
Hi Debby! It's so nice when we don't have to be somewhere. Feels soooo good.
DeleteI'm glad to hear your studio is going well. Have a four-star weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's getting there. Just a bit more to go. Happy Weekend, Jeanie!
DeleteHave fun, enjoy playing! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Huggs, back!
DeleteThere's nothing quite like having meals prepped in advance. It's worth the effort that it takes.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have lots of fun on your days off!!
It is nice. Feels good. I'm not the best at it, getting better though. Happy Weekend to you! Thanks for stopping in today. Cheers, Ivy.
DeleteI rarely get two days off in a row so that's always a special treat. Enjoy yours.
ReplyDeleteThat's true. Working bakery hours/retail doesn't always come with two days off in a row. Here's hoping the new job allows for that at least once per month.
DeleteEnjoy those days to the max. As I am sure you will.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteCan't wait for photos of the new spae!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Ginny. I can't either. We are so close.
DeleteI sometimes meal prep for the next day by cooking extra so next day I only have to fry up leftovers.
ReplyDeleteHey River! Cooking a little extra is wonderful. Back in the day it was one big meal, eat it until it's gone sorta way. There's a good thing to that method for sure. Thanks for popping in.
DeleteI love when I can come home and food is an easy fix. And when lunch for work is basically ready too. I can't wait to see the new space! Happy weekend. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHi Erika! Yes, an easy fix is delightful. Thank you. We are very close now. Thanks for stopping in. Huggs, back!
DeleteTwo days off in a row sounds good ... enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteAlways helps to meal prep. if you can, but not always possible.
Have a good weekend.
All the best Jan
Hi Jan! Hope you and Eddie are having a fun weekend! I'm working on getting better with meal prep. Room to grow for sure.
DeleteI love having foo already done at the end of the day...even though I no longer work. Always loved something I could leave in the crockpot and it be ready when I got home back in those days.
ReplyDeleteI hope your two days off are filled with fun and that you get to totally enjoy them.
Hi Rose! There is something wonderful about ford ready when we get home. I've never used a crackpot though I get that how cool they are. Day one was Lovely. One more day left. Woohoo! wishing you a great rest of the weekend.
DeleteI hope you've enjoyed your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI've narrowed my tablet choice down to one. Still deciding if I'll justify the purchase. Thanks for your help!
When you see how much fun it is to draw directly on the tablet, I bet, though I'm not sure, you'll love it. Quick short story: When I bought my first tablet it was 100 dollars extra for the pen. That little pen was a game changer because it helped me draw cartoons on screen. Heaven I say. Heaven.
DeleteHope you had a great weekend Ivy!
ReplyDeleteThenks! You too! Hope yours was fun. Who are you?
DeleteI used to meal prep when my kids were young, they're all grown and I really need to start doing that again. Hope your weekend was a great one.
ReplyDeleteVery cool that you used to meal prep and are thinking about getting back to it. Even on days home, I love having a little something, something on the ready.
DeleteSmart idea to prepare meals for the days ahead. Makes it easier when you're on the go.
ReplyDeleteYou have a delightful blog, by the way. ; )
~Sheri
Hi Sheri! Thank you for the nice words. I'm starting to get better at meal prep. Cleaned out the fidse that helped when I went to market. I knew what we had room for. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers Ivy.
