Wait. What's that? Something wet landed on my left arm. I think it's rain. Yep, not bird poop. It's rain.
So that's good.
In other news, the Le Creuset from the last post baked like a dream. I've done two bakes and the first one needed a few more minutes in the oven due to the higher rim and the second bake required no extra time. Really love this square bake dish. I'm all about having a few solid pieces with less kitchen clutter than a bunch of crappy bake dishes that work so-so. Same goes for chalk painting tools. Give me a solid brush over those crappy ones, any day of the week.
In other, other news, yesterday I watched Harry Met Sally or is it, When Harry Met Sally? I dunno. Either way, it's been awhile since I've seen it and it was my perfect being-sick-on-the-couch, movie. Speaking of the couch, I'm headed back there with a nice big cuppa cold water, tea or soup. Still can't decide which yet. Then read blogs and when that's done, I'll pick another movie.
Lots of rest, rest, rest going on here today.
Chat again soon. Huggs and Bugs, Me.
PS: Here's hoping that your day is going better than mine.
Awww Ivy, misery loves company. At least I am feeling almost human today. In fact in a while I'm going to make a banana bread with my over ripe bananas.. ummm, warm and slathered in butter..gonna taste so good!!!
ReplyDeleteFeel better and glad it was just a rain drop that landed on your arm..haha
Sue
Hi Sue! How do you feel today? Hopefully you're still feeling human. How'd the bake go? Do you ever put chocolate chips in banana bread? We love it!
DeleteI'm sorry you are sick but glad that was rain on your arm. I'm not surprised your bakeware gave great results, that's some good stuff. rest, rest, rest
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra! Thanks. Back to work today for me. Happy Driving.
DeleteSo sorry, just came from Sues blog and she is sick also.. other than a sore leg and bulging viens I am doing well. we need rain, ask yours to come this way please. Happy you like your new dish and wishes for you to wake up better tomorrow. I like watching movies when I am sick too.. I liked the movie you watched and can't for the life of me remember what it was about. been a minute since I watched it. do you draw on ipad?
ReplyDeleteSo sorry the leg is sore. Sure, I'll send you rain. This is a Samsung tablet. I have an excellent EMR pens to draw with. I saw you got an iPad. very cool. Happy Playing.
DeleteI do hope that you are starting to feel better. Much better. And hooray for good cookware. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue. Head to work in a few. Stuffy. Not terrible. Huggs.
DeleteI'll take rain over bird poop! Feel better soon Ivy!
ReplyDeletelolol. Me too!
DeleteI hope you feel better soon! Rest, relaxation and movies sounds like the perfect prescription!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I did rest all day yesterday. Even went back to the old Cupcake Wars. My goodness, so much drama in that show. I like the newer Spring/Summer/Holiday/Halloween bake shows better. Have a great week, Debra. Thanks for stopping in.
DeleteHope you feel better soon. Glad it was rain and not poop!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like your new handmaiden for cooking in the kitchen!
Thanks, Cheryl!
DeleteSorry you're sick. Rest fluids etc are often the best remedy. I hope you'll be better soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks! So true. It's the best when we can rest.
DeleteYeah, being sick is no fun. This is the last of it till the end of the year. It seems many get sick just before the summer. Bird poop or pee isn't so much fun, either. I remember once I was walking downtown years ago, and a pigeon pooped on me, and it got into my eye. Disgusting! I had to rinse my eye and keep a watch on it for infection, which never happened. Once, my little sister, who was always talking, and while she was running, a bird pooped, and it got in her mouth. It was pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you didn't get an eye infection, Debby! Oh no, in her mouth! lolololol. Noooo.... so gross. And funny.
DeleteThere is definitely something going around. The other night I went to bed early and didn't get up until 11 hours later!
ReplyDeleteWow, wow. That's some solid sleep. How do you feel today?
DeleteI hope you feel better soon! Glad to hear you are enjoying your new Le Creuset piece! I use mine ALL the time. I often bake bread in my dutch oven and it turns out great every time. Okay, I love the movie When Harry Met Sally! I actually own that movie and this reminds me that I need to watch it again soon - maybe tonight. Anyway, hope you are on the mend.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun movie to own. We own it as well although, during The Great Declutter of 2016, the DVD landed into the wrong pile, the donation pile. By time I noticed, the thrift store already sold it. Now we own in on digital, however, there's to me something wonderful about hard copies.
DeleteThat's a bummer! Do I ever miss hard copies and going to Blockbuster to pick out a movie on a Saturday night. Those were the good days! Funny thing - I actually worked at Blockbuster Video my last year in high school. Such great memories!
DeleteThat is cool. I used to enjoy going to pick out a movie. Good times. Was an event.
DeleteGlad it was rain and not poop!
ReplyDeleteSo pleased that Le Creuset baked like a dream :)
Most importantly I'm sending lots of good wishes to you and hope you feel better soon.
All the best Jan
Thank You!!!!!!
DeleteHope you soon feel better Sweetie! Le creuset dishes are great! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you. At work today. On lunch break. Huggs.
DeleteI saw bits of When Harry met sally years ago when it was advertised on TV, and that was more than enough for me. I didn't know Le Creuset came in square shapes. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI have two squares. Sooooo nice for baking desserts or mains.
DeleteHoping you will soon feel your happy self again and those nasty bugs of unwellness disappear out of the door very quickly. For some reason I haven't seen that film. Maybe I should ! Glad your new Le Creuset is working out well. Take care and cosy down in that couch for a while x
ReplyDeleteThank you. I love that movie. One of my go-tos. The bugs I can do without.
DeleteSorry to hear you're not feeling well. Glad it was rain and not bird poop that fell on your arm though.
ReplyDeleteOne year I was taking a week off for vacation. My plan was to spend all day out on the deck crafting. That same week my next door neighbor started construction on their garage. My plans had to change.
Oh noooooo on the noise next door. What did you end up doing instead?
DeleteSo sorry to hear you're aren't feeling well. It's good that you went out for some fresh air and I'm glad it wasn't bird poop that fell on you. lol I haven't seen that movie in years either. Rest and stay hydrated and you'll be on the mend soon I hope.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lori. It is a fun movie. Hope you are eating lots of yummy foods this week.
DeleteHope today you are feeling better. Good movie choice. Now go watch The Princess Bride.
ReplyDeleteThat one is on my To-Watch-List. I have only heard good things.
DeleteFeel better soon! This too will pass!
ReplyDeleteThank youuuuuuuu!
DeleteRain on the arm beats bird poop any day! I hope you feel better by the time you read this. I have a love-hate relationship with lawn mowers. I love them only when they are mowing my lawn and I'm not trying to concentrate on something else!
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha on the love hate!
DeleteOh no, I hope you get better soon. I'm glad it was rain too :) It does sound like a good day for a movie, resting and getting better.
ReplyDeleteHey Judy. Was a great day of a movie. Thanks for the well-wishes.
DeleteOh no, I hope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDelete"I'm all about having a few solid pieces with less kitchen clutter than a bunch of crappy bake dishes that work so-so" - PREACH!
A little stuffy and tired. Just happy I'm not dizzy. I agree, good solid pieces over crappy clutter for the win.
DeleteGet Well Soon!!! HUGS from across the miles.
ReplyDeleteCarla
Thank you for the hugs!
DeleteI had that cold about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Take care so you feel better, and I love that movie!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, so nice to have good pieces and not clutter.
DeleteSo sorry you are sick Ivy, time to pamper yourself! You gave us a another lovely read while you were under the weather. Much appreciate that, thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I stayed home one day and am here on break at work today. Thank you for the nice words about my blogpost.
DeleteSorry you are not well. Hope you get better fast but there is stuff going around.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Judee! At work today. Just stuffy now.
DeleteSorry you're feeling sick. A cup of hot soup and a good movie makes all the difference, doesn't it? You know, I don't think I've seen When Harry Met Sally, but I do love the movie Sleepless in Seattle. I've been watching a few good movies myself on tubi. And glad you got some rain. That's always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteTake care, and feel better.
~Sheri
Hi Sheri! I've not seen Sleepless yet! I hear good things about it though.
DeleteI hope you are feeling better by now...my other daughter was sick yesterday. Not fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose! Thank you. Sorry your daughter was sick. NOOOOOT FUN. Sending well-wishes.
