My Kitchen Annoys Me

When I started decluttering we had at least, 500 pens, markers and pencils. I kept a small stash, donated the rest. Time moved on, but I still wasn't using most of them, so I reduced my share by half.

Below is what's left.

In other news, my kitchen annoys me. So I'll post this, unplug, make a cuppa hot chocolate and get crackin'.

Thanks for the suggestions yesterday.

  1. My pens are scattered all over. I need to get them organized in a central location too.

    1. I dunno. But so many of us enjoy buying and hoarding them. It's funny how many of us do. Something about pens.

  3. We probably have three times that many. Maybe more...

  4. I've got a lot of pens, too, but I'm holding on to them. Otherwise, when they wear out I'll just have to buy more anyway.

  5. I have a drawer full but only a few really please me. I like a smooth write, a thin line and black ink. :)

    1. I love when there's a good smooth pen. Those are the ones I kept. So fun to write with.

  6. I am really fussy about pens I like to write with. And we have a LOT which don't suit me.
Good luck in dealing with your kitchen irritation.

    1. Seems to be a common thing here. I had no idea how many of us did this.

  8. I like your containers for the pens! I keep mine in the top drawer of my desk. But...I seem to have a knack for losing pens, so I struggle to keep at least one good one always handy! :D (I am an unintentional minimalist when it comes to pens.)

    1. Thanks. One really good pen works for me. I used to have mine in my top drawer, in another drawer, on the desk, in the tins, in the cup ... all over.

    1. Thanks. Tim and I came up with an idea to replace the standing pantry we have now, for something that is better suited for the job. Hot dog.

  10. My kitchen always annoys me. It expects me to use it or something! :)

Love your pen holder. I have cups of pens located in several places throughout the house. Comes in handy. I just look for a cup!

    1. Reading the comments sounds like most of us have that same issue. So funny. Pens, pens, pens. I had no idea so many of us did this.

  14. All office and art supplies are my downfall. I have to stay out of those supply areas of stores because I cannot control myself. Pens are among my very favorites. HELP!!

    1. Yes and now. For the pantry area, we came up with a new idea to replace the old. For the cupboards above, those will have to wait a wee bit.

      Thanks for asking.

  17. The trouble I find with pens or pencils ... as soon as you need one you can't find one! LOL!

Seriously we keep ours in one draw in the living room - well that's the plan - so far it's working.

I do like your pen mug though!

    All the best Jan

    1. I always had a tin or Halloween glass or mug, but when we have billions, we kept them in a BIG drawer. Oh my gosh, too many pens.

    1. You know what? I usually write draw, no lie because that's how I say it. I never pronounce, drawer correctly.
