What's the last thing you baked? Was it sweet or savory? And would you bake it again? The last thing I baked was yesterday's four plaited loaf - and the first thing I'll bake today is a toffee crunch cookie.
I love pumpkin pies. So good. Did you notice the falling snow around Wiggy's face? It's small but it's there. But at least it's not falling over a cinnamon dessert.
I took a tube of peanut butter cookies out of fridg. that I bought and cut them by myself and put them on a cookie sheet. Almost home made... Then I had to preheat the oven and watch the time so they didn't burn....Phew.. I'd bake them again...lv ya Mama G
Told ya yesterday what my bake was :) I'm currently thinking about what to cook for lunch tomorrow. Most probably breaded potatoes and then French salad for Sunday
It's similar to Russian salad :) Both are extremely popular: diced and boiled carrots and potatoes, with boiled peas, eggs and pickled cucumbers all mixed with tones of mayo :) Russian salad has some chicken meat in it too.
the mix of mayo and pickles with the veggies gives it a very nice and refreshing taste. It's eaten on tones here, especially on special occasions and festivities
The last thing I baked was a batch of savoury onion breakfast muffins. I'd bake them again soon but My Rare One is off wheat and carbs so I have to eat them all by myself, which is not advisable.
Last Saturday I started to make Blueberry Drop Biscuits, but though I followed the recipie the mix was to thin to drop so they went into muffin tins. Of course there wasn't enough blueberries so I used some strawberries and after they were in the tins I decided they needed more sugar so some was sprinkled on top.
They came out very crispy and just sweet enough. I'll make again and hopefully have the same problems:-)
Sounds like you were really able to make something work. Debra made the savoury onion muffins. You could go up and ask her. Check out her blog too, she's a funny girl.
Savoury..... Cajun crispy chicken thighs....and herbed roasted potatoes... Will definitely get back into the "sweet" upon my return home... Enjoy your weekend! Cheers! Linda :o)
The last thing I baked was pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving. Yeah, I don't bake very often! Cookies sound yummy. Glad to see that cinnamon bun gone! :)

DeleteI don't know about baked, but I made Chinese food the other night. And yes, it was awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of Chinese?
DeleteI baked some dinner rolls over a week ago. With the kids all out of the house, I haven't been baking as much.
ReplyDeleteWhy does it matter how many eat bakes? I hear a lot even from single folks who say, "it's only me, so why bother?"
DeleteI don't get that.
I'm baking right now. Brownies -- to make this freezing weather bearable. And yes, I'll make them again.
ReplyDeleteBrownies yum. What kind? Nuts, no nuts?

DeleteI've never had that. Though I do put potatoes in our salads. So yummy. Sometimes I'll do steak or chicken salads for Tim.

DeleteI love pickled veg. Just so as they aren't too salty. That, I do not like. Gotta have a good crunch and clean flavor.

ReplyDeleteEver have a good onion roll with cream cheese? Oh my gosh, I love that stuff.
DeleteSavoury onion breakfast muffins???? Those sound fantastic. I'll trade ya for some Toffee Crunch Cookies ....
Those sound good. Do you have a recipe? I tend to make sweet muffins.
DeleteYes, I did see the snow. I'ts messing up my computer, though. Running real slow!!! Almost like I do in the the real thing! Haha :)
ReplyDeleteI removed that code because it seems to be running some computer slow and some not. So off it went. Thanks for mentioning it.
DeleteThe last thing I baked? Okay, I'd better sit this one out....
ReplyDeleteHow about the last thing you cooked?
DeleteButterscotch Blondie's a couple of days ago. I love them so!!
ReplyDeleteI've never had Butterscotch Blondies. Glad you enjoyed them. They sound good.
DeleteI'm not sure if putting a garlic cheesebread from the grocery store into the oven qualifies as baking.
ReplyDeleteWas it yummy?

ReplyDeleteThat long, eh?
DeleteMeatloaf on Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBut my husband talked about he and the kids whipping up some chocolate chip cookies this weekend. I hope that happens!
Yum on the meatloaf and the chocolate chip cookies.
