Friday Question: Your Last Bake

What's the last thing you baked?  Was it sweet or savory? And would you bake it again?  The last thing I baked was yesterday's four plaited loaf - and the first thing I'll bake today is a toffee crunch cookie.

How 'bout you?

  1. The last thing I baked was pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving. Yeah, I don't bake very often! Cookies sound yummy. Glad to see that cinnamon bun gone! :)

    1. I love pumpkin pies. So good. Did you notice the falling snow around Wiggy's face? It's small but it's there. But at least it's not falling over a cinnamon dessert.

    1. Why does it matter how many eat bakes? I hear a lot even from single folks who say, "it's only me, so why bother?"

      I don't get that.

Almost home made... Then I had to preheat the oven and watch the time so they didn't burn....Phew.. I'd bake them again...lv ya Mama G

    1. It's similar to Russian salad :) Both are extremely popular: diced and boiled carrots and potatoes, with boiled peas, eggs and pickled cucumbers all mixed with tones of mayo :) Russian salad has some chicken meat in it too.

    2. I've never had that. Though I do put potatoes in our salads. So yummy. Sometimes I'll do steak or chicken salads for Tim.

    3. the mix of mayo and pickles with the veggies gives it a very nice and refreshing taste. It's eaten on tones here, especially on special occasions and festivities

    4. I love pickled veg. Just so as they aren't too salty. That, I do not like. Gotta have a good crunch and clean flavor.

  7. The last thing I baked was a batch of savoury onion breakfast muffins. I'd bake them again soon but My Rare One is off wheat and carbs so I have to eat them all by myself, which is not advisable.

    1. I removed that code because it seems to be running some computer slow and some not. So off it went. Thanks for mentioning it.

  11. I'm not sure if putting a garlic cheesebread from the grocery store into the oven qualifies as baking.

  12. Last Saturday I started to make Blueberry Drop Biscuits, but though I followed the recipie the mix was to thin to drop so they went into muffin tins. Of course there wasn't enough blueberries so I used some strawberries and after they were in the tins I decided they needed more sugar so some was sprinkled on top.

They came out very crispy and just sweet enough. I'll make again and hopefully have the same problems:-)

BTW what's a Savoury onion breakfast muffin?

    1. Sounds like you were really able to make something work. Debra made the savoury onion muffins. You could go up and ask her. Check out her blog too, she's a funny girl.
