To celebrate feeling better, I put a chocolate peanut butter pie in the oven. Only I don't think my taste buds are in full swing yet, because the batter tasted less like peanut butter and more like vomit.
That's my timer. Best check the oven. Meanwhile, here are the results of Wonder Woman Quiz 13.
Thanks for playing, and here's hoping whatever you eat, doesn't taste like throw up.
Oh I hate that feeling, when I'm not well and my taste buds don't work. It's icky.
ReplyDeleteHope that clears up soon and you can enjoy your peanut butter pie!
Jai
Chocolate peanut butter pie, eh?
ReplyDeleteNever had one of those before!
Jai Joshi: Thanks. I'm feeling pretty darn good. That's why I'm doing a jig. Up next, chicken meatballs.
ReplyDeletePaladin: When I get it right, I'll email you the formula. I winged it tonight. Think maybe too much peanut butter. We'll see when it cools.
Chocolate. Peanut Butter. Pie...?
ReplyDelete*Faints*
That's three of my favorite things in one name. Especially Peanut Butter. I do so love Peanut Butter. Mmm.
Barking Alien: Still cooling. Though I did sneak a spoonful when it was warm. But I couldn't tell if it was good yet.
ReplyDeleteI put this formula together today, because I was out of strawberries for strawberry cheesecake. Who knows, might have a winner, might need to go back to the lab for more testing.
The meatballs are nearly ready ...
I may make an exception on the whole pie thing for the chocolate peanut butter, but only because of Passover.
ReplyDeleteCake: I thought of you tonight when I was making the pie. Nice to see you here for this post. Happy Passover :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks you have to give props to a holiday that makes you eat bitter herbs to remind you of the bitterness of the slavery of your ancestors.
ReplyDeleteVery true, Cake.
ReplyDeleteI hate when that happens. It happened to my friend once, for a straight month he couldn't really taste anything for some reason.
ReplyDeleteLoneIslander: A month? Yow.
ReplyDeleteSo how was it? LOVE Chocolate, Peanut butter, and Pie, but not necessarily in that order. Sounds Yumm-o.
ReplyDeleteDaisey: Weird. Some parts were good. Crust was good. Texture weird. Needs a bit of a tweak. Tasted better as it cooled. I'll give it another taste tomorrow, write some notes on it and take a few shots for the blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks bunches for asking :-)
HHHhhhhhm, chocolate peanutbutter pie. Now I like the sound of that ;).
ReplyDeleteSince the Bell's Palsy I believe my taste buds on one side of my mouth are not as good as they were so I will need a slice of that pie just for the right (good) side. Happy cooking Whisk.
ReplyDeleteAwww, man! I was loving this post and had my own chocolate peanut butter pie in mind and was just getting ready to start daydreaming and salivating...and then I saw the word "vomit." Ewwww. Hope that sensation goes away soon :)
ReplyDeleteYum!...vomit and peanut butter...two great tastes that taste great together.
ReplyDelete"and here's hoping whatever you eat, doesn't taste like throw up."
ReplyDeleteI thought that went without saying? Maybe I've lived a lucky life - I didn't know how good I had it! Regurgitated remnants aside, I'm looking forward to the pics. It does sound good.
Hope you get your taste back soon because not being able to enjoy peanut butter is a serious health issue.
ReplyDeleteIt's so frustrating to be sick and not able to savor food! You should just wolf down some wasabi and see if that blasts you clear.
ReplyDeleteI'm very glad you're starting to feel better. That dancing mummy made me smile, which I'm not sure what that says about me. I've eaten chocolate peanut butter pie before, but it wasn't homemade (my mistake). I ate at a "popular" little mom and pop diner near where I live. I was deathly ill for two days after that. Makes me gag when I think about how it tasted.
ReplyDeleteI love me a dancing mummy. Never had peanut butter pie, but it sounds deelish.
ReplyDeleteJohnathan: It wasn't horrible but it wasn't fantastic. Yet, it was filling in a good way, with just a small piece.
ReplyDeleteLurker: I don't know enough about the nerves that control the facial muscles. I hope the symptoms improve. But as for the pie, it's odd texture, not terrible but you didn't miss a whole lot.
Jess: I'm a big fan of the word vomit. Though throw up is okay too. Both do the job nicely. Thanks for stopping in.
Rusty: LOLOLOL. I'll make you a fresh vomit pie when you finally get your ass here for a visit.
Porky: Regurgitated remnants. I like the sound of that. Gotta figure me a way to use it in a blog post.
Susan: Thanks bunches.
Hanny: Love wasabi. And I love this fantastic Kansas hot sauce made of garlic, habaneros and carrots. So good. I'm Hungarian and was raised on spicy. Num num num.
Angry Vegetarian: The dancing mummy makes me smile too. Have had him forever and he always makes me smile. Sorry to read that you got sick. I guess vomit was the right word.
Beer: Glad you like him. He free for the taking.
I'm so happy you are feeling better :) Has Easter bunny visited you yet? I'm being good and only had one creme egg mmmmmmm :) take care X
ReplyDeleteNiki: Haven't eaten too much candy this year, but I did get a bunch of groovy organic spices at Wegmans. Hugs, back.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your taste buds feel better in time to enjoy that peanut butter pie!
