Once the second tub is GONE, the pantry shelf will fit great in that spot, along with holiday boxes and indoor tools. So why not put it all there right now and simply remove the tub when it gets warm?
And get this people. As of last night, everything we own has a proper home.
Who says dreams don't come true?
You'll have room for even more when that tub is gone.
ReplyDeleteHeck, once that tub is out of the way you'll have room for 2.5 pantries. That's food for thought, right there.
ReplyDeleteI'm almost afraid to ask, BTW, but what is SMEG?
ReplyDelete"everything we own has a proper home" - that's something a lot of people only dream about - congratulations on actually achieving it, Ivy!
ReplyDeleteI take it you don't think "resale value" of your home? Just curious. I have a spare bathroom, too (one the kids used to use), but I can't imagine it being anything other than a bathroom (and it does come in handy whenever we have guests).
ReplyDeleteCongrats! That tiny bathtub is the size of the one we had when I was a kid! Although it sure beat taking a bath in a square galvanized tub in the middle of the kitchen like we had to do before we got running water.
ReplyDeleteJust as long as you don't think of leaving the shelf there until the other tub's done!
ReplyDeleteIs there a shower there as well or will there just be a toilet now? Just wondering.
ReplyDeleteIt is good that everything has a place now. Well done!
ReplyDelete"As of last night, everything we own has a proper home."
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me ...
Happy Weekend Wishes
All the best Jan
How many square feet is your home?
ReplyDeleteWow, are you planning on getting rid of the bathroom? Interesting idea...
ReplyDeleteMeow, Ivy...thanks for your hello. My human talked to the vet today and I am getting some special medicine to settle my stomach. Jacob
ReplyDeleteIt will come in handy for your cooking needs.
ReplyDeleteall yours ideas are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteBuena idea para cuando hay un rincón me encanta, abrazos.
ReplyDeleteThat shelf unit looks super clean! Giving it a shower was a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThat is really cool that everything you have has a proper home. I like that idea!
ReplyDeleteYou are so amazing. You put your mind to something and then it gets done.
ReplyDeleteMany good ideas by you.
ReplyDeleteFor many years I had to always think of resale when fixing up our home. The x always fixed up the homes we lived in and then resold them...The thing is IF you do sell the home the plumbing will be there and if you need to or the buyers can install one of the pre-fab sets.
I said make it work for you NOW !
cheers, parsnip
You're never at a loss for ideas! We actually got rid tubs and have only showers and I really don't care what the next owners do/think about it.
ReplyDeleteIf you showered in the pantry, you could save time in the mornings.
ReplyDeleteHa.
DeleteOoh, a remodeling project. I love to see remodeling projects. Good luck with this one.
ReplyDeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteHappy Hearts Day to you and Tim!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's day Ivy!
ReplyDeleteTaking out your TUB....your BATH tub ??
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan to me. I've had a bath tub all my life but here in the Summer House, we have only a shower...do not miss a tub at all 'cause we both like showers better anyway....
Having seen another photo of the tub, it just strikes me now that I hope no one accidentally turns the shower head on. ;) Anyway great job again on your minimizing efforts, Ivy!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this post? It's showing as being read on my Bloglovin' list. My alter ego must be reading these posts while I'm sleeping :)
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, cool beans on your hard work and your updates. You are making your home work for you!
