Seriously good stuff.
But why say goodbye to a room that we loved using? Because we're done with it.
I started yesterday and my focus is to turn this space into a kick-ass work room for Tim. His Spring Equinox gift from me.
Goodbye Lemon Tart Room. Hello Change.
PS: I can't get the song, Goobye Yellow Brick Road, out of my head. It's been in there for like a week now. |
Thanks to reading your post I will now have the song Goodbye to Yellow Brick Road in my head. Along with a thousand other songs too.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing the new room and what you name it.
Debra (she who seeks), named The Lemon Tart Room. So I might have to seek her wisdom for the next name as well.
DeleteGoodbye Yellow Brick is STILL in my head. It won't stop. So sorry you've caught it as well.
You wear me out, you're so busy so many projects all the time. I love the color yellow, bright and cheery like you probably are! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHey Pam, I was just at your page drooling over your food. Oh my gosh. You're a killer cook.
DeleteThanks, I LOVED the bright yellow mixed with the sun in that room. But it's time to say goodbye!
Love that song...now it's in my head!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome.
DeleteI would love to see before and after pictures please!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had taken pictures of every single ding dong room before I started last year. What a dumbass, I was.
DeleteI honestly, didn't think of it. I had NO IDEA so many changes were coming.
DeleteSo I take it he doesn't like yellow? Or is it more than just replacing the wall color?
ReplyDeleteYes, more than changing paints. I've removed the little strips that they used to hold the drywall together. Going to mud-up the walls and sand them. Then whatever colour he fancies but overall, the entire trailer is getting repainted.
DeleteWell, maybe not the breadbox green in the bedroom. So far, that's the only room to stay but will be touched up.
Great pictures of you and your daughter on your page.
Just found your blog, love that you name your rooms!
ReplyDeleteA friend named it for me.
DeleteThanks for stopping by. How did you find your way here?
That is a huge change! What color will you paint it?
ReplyDeleteNot sure, Alex. I'm just the contractor. The setup and use of room, along with the colour is up to Tim.
DeleteHooray for positive change...
ReplyDeleteHooray for you back in BloggerLand.
DeleteYou've been missed!
ahaha! you always surprise me :) :)
ReplyDeleteYour last bake looked great.
DeleteAargh - not the Lemon Tart Room!
ReplyDeleteIs nothing safe?
How did you do that marvellous photo-illustration? (You may have told me before)
Nothing is safe, that's for sure.
DeleteMy Nikon dslr camera as an option to shoot in effects mode. Fun stuff.
What will its new name be? Something as memorable as lemon tart
ReplyDeleteI don't know the answer????
DeleteI wonder what it will look like. What will be your new movie room?
ReplyDeleteHi John. As of now, it looks like we might not have a new movie room.
DeleteCan't wait to see the changes!
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteThat 's a great name - the Lemon Tart room. So, when you say work room, do you mean like a home office? workout room? shop? -Jenn
ReplyDeleteNot sure, Jenn. I'm just the contractor. The setup and use of room, along with the colour is up to Tim.
Delete... await to see the changes.
ReplyDeleteI think they will be great!
I do like the illustration.
All the best Jan
Thanks.
DeleteMy Nikon dslr camera took that photo.
That's a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteFun work :-)
DeleteHave fun! Looking forward to seeing the transformation!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteNo more lemon tart???
ReplyDeleteI know? I cannot believe it but we're done with it. Change is fun.
DeleteWhere's a pic? I want to see before and after!
ReplyDeleteThat is a picture of during. My bad for not saying that. My camera took that shot.
DeleteI'm cheering for you Ivy! Will look forward to seeing the finished product!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bethany. No lie, I was just over at your blog. Spooky.
DeleteI do love yellow, but sometimes it's just time for a change. What a generous gift to your guy!
ReplyDeleteIt is a fun colour but it won't go with the stuff he's going to put in there and basically, we're doing over the entire trailer. Maybe not the bedroom, not sure yet.
DeleteHow goes you today?
I can't wait to see the finished room. I am sure it will be great!!
ReplyDeleteJust taking a short break from working on it. Going well. Miss your blogs.
DeleteHow sweet of you!
ReplyDeleteBut I'll miss the Lemon Tart name. LOL
So creative!
Hmm... a new masculine name? Thinking cap on!
lol on the masculine name. How goes your writing this week?
DeleteYay! Change is good. Bring on the new! (As long as there's cheese involved.)
ReplyDeleteHow do you feel about nut cheese?
DeleteGood for you, Ivy. You guys are doing so much to your home, it's like a brand new castle for you both.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're getting the work space of your dreams as well. Neato.
DeleteHI Ivy...
ReplyDeleteSeems you are doing well...
I am glad...you deserve it!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Great to see you. I loved your pink toes, on your blog. So fun.
Delete😳 hahaha!
DeleteDemolition time! WOOHOO... It's your place and you'll do what you want with it. Take photos and share the progress with us. I'd love to see your changes!
ReplyDeleteTim's excited to have a new work space. I'll email you progress pictures this weekend.
DeleteHow are the cats today?
What! What! What! You are seriously crazy getting rid of a perfectly good room. I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteMy focus is to turn the room into a kick-ass work space for Tim. His Spring Equinox gift from me.
DeleteGoodbye Lemon Tart Room. Hello Change.
But where are you going to watch all the stuff you used to watch in the Lemon Tart room?
ReplyDeleteGreat question. Not sure yet but probably bring the flat screen into Tim's old office. But the TV has lines going through. Not sure if we will buy another or just watch stuff on the many other devices we have.
DeleteYay! Can't wait to see the end results!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Me too.
DeleteWhat a wonderful gift!
ReplyDeleteFeels like we are so close.
DeleteThanks for dropping by.
Hey Ivy,
ReplyDeleteAha, your tart's in the right place. Well done and no, I wont do a bunch of tart puns, such as.... 'How Can You Mend A Broken Tart?', 'Your Cheatin' Tart', 'Don't Go Breakin' My Tart', 'Unbreak My Tart', 'Achy Breaky Tart', 'Put A Little Love In Your Tart' and my favourite, 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Tarts Club Band.
I shall now go find me some Munchkins...
Have a nice weekend, my kind friend.
Penny's fictional human,
Gary :)
Hahahaha. That was great fun to read. Thanks for that, Gary.
DeleteWow you are one busy lady! Would love to see how it turns out! I just love seeing home renos!
ReplyDeleteHi Silvana - Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteHi, following you now. Saw you at BJ's blog and I am having some fun reading through your posts! Happy Saturday from Austin, Texas!
ReplyDeleteHey Rustown Mom. Thanks for stopping by and telling me where you came from. I enjoy learning how people arrived here. I've added you to my feed as well, you won't see me on your follower's gadget, thanks to google messing up my profile picture, but I will be notified of your new postings.
DeleteLooks like you've got lots going on. Love skillet potatoes and congrats to your hubby!
Cheers and boogie boogie.
Now I will have an ear worm for the rest of the day. Thanks! ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Thanks for stopping by.
Deleteawww, I thought you were lovin' your movie room...well, he needs a room for his stuff so this is good....just looking at your plaited loaf of bread to my right and I want it....
ReplyDeleteWe both loved it but we don't need it anymore.
DeleteHe has a giant office/work room now, but the other space will fit better for the spring and summer.
Hope Mr Sweet is feeling better today. Thinking lots about you two.
Hugs & Bugs,
-- Me

:-)
DeleteI love how you did that picture! I seriously thought that was an illustration. Fun blog you have! You seem like a verrry busy lady :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks. The Nikon dslr did it for me. Fun stuff. Loved your faces. You got skill. Well done, you.
DeleteWe once painted daughter's room bright yellow with purple. She wanted a sunset. The room went to a quiet deep green.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds lovely. Excellent that you let her do what she want. Bright yellow is one of those colours that I hear folks shy away from. But boy, it's just so darn pretty.
DeleteHow did your daughter like the quiet deep green. Sounds peaceful.
You OK? Haven't heard from you in a bit. Checking in...
ReplyDeleteHey Girl. Thanks for stopping in. I've been MIA for a bit, working on the new room. Apologies for not being on email but should be back to regular Internet fun soon. More work on the new room today. Happy Spring!
