Boogerbutts: To those of you that answered quinoa, I award you three bagels and a toothpick. For everyone else who played, you win as well, because I just like to give out prizes. Only difference this week, nothing moldy, rotten or broken. Enjoy & Boogie Boogie :-)
ANSWER HERE - THANKS FOR PLAYING & BOOGIE BOOGIE.
I was thinking Tapioca.
Oh, never mind....i see it's quinoa...and I don't even know what the heck that is..... and it's SOAPY ??
Hey bj - Each seed is covered in saponin, which can taste bitter. If you drop the quinoa in a bowl with clean water and agitate the quinoa with your hands, the soapy bubbles with form. Unless, your quinoa comes 'pre-rinsed'. Easy test, pop a few raw seeds in your gob and see if you like the taste. Though, keep in mind there is a difference in the bitter taste of saponin and the bitter taste of rancid. Fun stuff, but worth it in the end, for those who enjoy quinoa. Thanks for stopping by and boogie boogie.
I was going to guess quinoa and looking at other guess I think I am correct
Well, since you posted the answer I don't have to say my original guess was pearls...oops
