Thank you, Mari.
In other news, the Bamix is getting a workout, ALDI's buck a bag for cranberries is back and I'm soon to use the stick blender to mash the berries before tossing them into the dehydrator. Some batches with local-down-the-road maple syrup and other batches without.
In other, other news, I just hung my second pegboard in the studio space and I like it because it keeps stuff off the floor and with gear on pegs, easy to grab, use and put away.
Hot dog.
And that my Boogerbutts is all that's fit to print. Thanks again to Mari for inspiring me with this fun weekly post.
We now return to our regularly scheduled Wordless Wednesday .... with extra words and maybe one skully.

Good macro's. Not a lover of Aldi, we don't have one here and they won't come either. Have visited Aldi several times in our travels but not impressed.
ReplyDeleteHey Margaret! I am a huge fan of my local ALDI - That said, there was a time when ours was so dirty, gross and messy that I stopped going. Then that manager got sacked and the produce went back to clean, neat, well-stocked and good prices. It's too bad you never got to experience a good ALDI.
Deletehey there, that Wonder Woman looks just like ME! ha ha ha ha ha she is adorable! Love you lots Ivy! the way you look at life makes me feel your joy
ReplyDeletelolololol. I thought about that after it posted that I should have put your name under Wonder Woman. Next time for sure. Because you really are Wonder Woman. Just getting online now. Headed over to check on your blog today.
DeleteThese are great, Ivy.
ReplyDeleteMuch Thanks!
DeleteLove all your photos. That snowman warmer is so cute. I might have to make a trip to Aldi this weekend and see what I can find
ReplyDeleteThey had a few other kinds of winter warmers too. Last year, I got a Santa and the year before, a pumpkin warmer. A tenner for each year. Shocked it didn't go up. Hope you find a good one too!
DeleteThe skeleton is cool - he looks like he's up to something!
ReplyDeleteThat's true. He does, Alex. Thanks!
DeleteAll great pictures Ivy! Have a fabulous Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteHey Lori! Thank you. Hope your week was rockin'.
DeleteExtea words for Wordless Wednesday! You rebel, you! Fab photos as always.
ReplyDeleteThat's me. Breaking the rules and living on the wild side with words on a Wednesday.
DeleteLive your magazines. I will have a look at Aldi you mash the berries before dehydrating them? It’s time I use mine!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine. I was at Barnes that day, flipping through the holiday magazines. One of my fave things to do, Catherine. I was at Barnes that day, flipping through the holiday magazines. One of my fave things to do.
DeleteI mash them before and some I leave plain and others, I add maple. Then when dry they come off the fleximat and store air tight for the year.
Wonder Woman is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie - She was on super duper sale too.
DeleteThanks for the sweet shout out!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your photos, you are very talented.
I love Aldi too.
Hey Mari! Much thanks. Me too. I get the best produce there and other things for such deals.
DeleteI need to check out Aldi for the snowman warmer. Skully is frightening!
ReplyDeleteHey Sandra! I was there again this week and ALDI had other warmers out as well. Fun store. Great deals.
DeleteGreat photos
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine!
DeleteMy Wordless Wednesday post usually have words too, lol. I am also a fan of Aldi. I'm lucky to have one right around the corner. Fantastic shots! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's good to know I'm not alone is adding words to Wednesday, Martha!
DeleteSame, right around the corner. Soooo many good deals at prices that I love! Glad you have one so close too.
I enjoyed the photos I miss the aldi store especially around the holiays when we moved to the lake house there is no close by aldi store
ReplyDeleteI would miss mine too Kathy. So I can understand that. Though moving to a lake house sounds like heaven too!
DeleteWonderful photos, all! I need to check out our Aldi. I love cranberries!
ReplyDeleteHey Jeanie! I went back and they had the buck a bag this week too! Hope yours has them as well. We also love them. So many things to do with them year-round so I like to load up once per year.
DeleteI love Aldi too. I get their weekly e-mails about their new Wednesday things. Wow, how did you do the luminous polka dots? So cool!!
ReplyDeleteHey Ginny - Very cool. Love the Wednesday deals.
DeleteThe Bokeh balls from the Christmas tree and I got them by playing with manual settings on my camrea o get them to blur just the way I wanted. Though we should be able to do them on cell phones too.
Wish we had an Aldi here in Northern CA. I hear such good things about it.
ReplyDeleteWonder Woman is so cute.
I wish there would be a buck a bag for cranberries for us too. I love a good sweet/tart sauce over just about everything.
Have a great Wednesday ... be it Wordless or Not ...
Sue
Same, Sue! There's something about the sweet/tart goodness. Have you ever made cranberry apple sauce? Oh my yum. Just so stinkin' good.
DeleteHope you had a great Wednesday too!
Do you have other discount stores there that are like ALDI?
Do you add any liquid to the cranberries before attacking them with the stick blender?
ReplyDeleteHey Kathy - I never add water to them. Though I often to them in the Vitamix. This will be the first year that I try the stick blender and then maybe the food grinder too. We'll see. But no water, no. I want them broken up. I will add maple to some batches right before drying them out. Other batches, stay plain.
DeleteI especially like 'wonder woman' but all great pictures Ivy ... with or without words :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks, Jan! Hope you're having a yummy weekend.
DeleteHi Ivy ... I have had a yummy weekend ... visited family and enjoyed a delicious Roast Dinner ... yum indeed!
DeleteAll the best Jan
That is wonderful to read, Jan! Very nice. Tonight we had more mashed cauli. It's just soooo good!
DeleteI shopped aldi's today and got some cranberries. I do not get there often as they are an hour south of us.
ReplyDeleteCathy
That's a long drive for sure, one hour. Very cool that you got some cranberries. What will you make with yours?
DeleteI've always loved the Wordless Wednesday posts. I think a picture sometimes says it all. Like those pretty colored lights. Although I love the white twinkling lights, I've always had colored lights on my tree. I guess it's a tradition. I see you have lots of holiday magazines to look at. We can get ideas from them for sure.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
**I wanted to tell you that I bought that little tree with the colored balls at Grocery Outlet. So, if you have one in your area, you can check it out. They're so pretty covered with a little snow, and Yes, so much you can do with them with your photography. : )
Thank you so much for telling me about Grocery Outlet. Yes, we have one!!!!
DeleteI love that you enjoy both kinds of lights. I always like to have purple in my Chrstmas lights (also purple in the Halloween lights too). So fun. White ones are classic as well. They can be stunning.
That pile of mags was when I was at Barnes, flipping through. I love to study the photography and lighting.
Wordless Wednesdays are awesome. I love seeing what pictures people use.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Me too, Jackie. Really a fun idea.
DeleteYou're like me and have a little collection of holiday baking magazines. And Wonder Woman is stinking cute for certain! Have a great rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteHey Erika! Love that you're into the magazines too. This pile though, I don't own. Was just at Barnes one day looking through them studying photography and lighting. I just love doing that.
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend to you!
I love your teeny tiny figures.
ReplyDeleteThanks, River. Each little one comes with lessons for me to learn.
DeleteHope you're having a yummy weekend!
Lots of words for a wordless Wednesday today!
ReplyDeleteThere really were, Ray! I just kept yappin'! lol.
DeleteWe had a Bamix a loooooooooong time ago. I can't remember what happened to it - mystery! Glad yours is getting a good workout.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love all the little beings. Have a great rest of your week, wordy or otherwise!
The Great Mystery of the Missing Bamix ... dun, dun, dun.
DeleteI do like it a lot. It has some features that really make it fun.
Thanks, hope your week is a good one too!
hehehehe, that was a lot of words for wordless wednesday!! i LOVE the snowman from aldi, i don't shop there but i may have to stop and get one of those!!
ReplyDeletelol, yes! I just keep yappin'! I was there again this week and they had other warmers too. Last year they had Santa and the Halloween before that one, pumpkins. Usually a box mix of a few kinds. Hope you find something fun. Love that store. The prices. Just so good IMO.
DeleteI just sat down to read emails and there were all your comments on past posts and I want to tell you, you made my afternoon. I looked at each post and found so much that I love and have loved and had totally forgotten the poem and the sunlight jewels on my dresser. reading my on old posts blessed my own heart and so did your comments. of course I did notice I was stressed to the max back in 2021 and then I thought most of it started March of 2020 when Covid shut the world down and it never went back to what it was. from 2006 to 2020, we went 5 days a week at 5:30 every week day to the YMCA it was my exercise and talkathon to friends I made there, I even found a new BFF in the pool and she was that until she died on Valentine's day of this year, thanks for being your happy self
ReplyDeleteI had been offline for four days so it was fun to catch up and read your posts. So sorry that she died this year. I've been the YMCA once and think about going back. The peom you wrote was excellent. It filled everything in the day and was fun to read. You my friend, write a good post. It's always good to stop in. Like chatting with an old friend. Huggs and love to you!
DeleteI just don't eat Cranberries during the holidays.
ReplyDeleteWhy is that? Just not a fan of them? What's your go-to winter fruit? Or fall, depending on if it's Still full by you.
DeleteThank you for the reply! Today I’ll start drying oranges and then try to get the cranberries. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome, Catherine! I bought oranges this week too! ALDI had a sale. So las night I used the stick blender on the cranberries and whilst it does work, I found the KitchenAid metal food grinder attachment to do the best job with a big batch. For a small batch, the Bamix wins. For 8 bags though, I felt KitchenAid won. The blender also works or a food processor.
DeleteThey are drying now so I'll know more later. And then I have more bags to do. It's cranberry crushing season here in my kitchen.
What will you make with the oranges? Sounds fun!
Glad you're stick blender is being used, and the food grinder too. We call a food grinder a mincer over here. I haven't bought a Kitchenaid yet, still making my mind up, and then if I do decide to get one I'll have to choose a colour, that's another decision to make, haha. Oh, Christmas magazines, they're the best of the year, aren't they.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo! We also call them mincer and some call them meat grinders too. However, with KitchenAid. I once bought the plastic mincer/grinder and straight back to the store it went. Then when the metal one went on sale, I bought it locally so that if needed, I could also returned it only ... I looooooove it. So, so, so useful and easy to clean.
DeleteI can relate in part because it took me a long time to get a KitchenAid. Before Tim got it for my for Christmas a few years back, I wasn't sure I would use such a big machine. I am happy to tell you that I am wrong. It is one of my most important tools. I went with the light yellow and she makes me smile all of the time. Just a great, great machine.
Yes! I love holiday magazines, I don't own those. I enjoy looking at them at Barnes - our bookshoppe cafe aka Barnes & Noble.
That snowman warmer is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHe really is. Excited to use him after Christmas.
DeleteI don't visit Aldi often, but they do have some good prices on products when I have popped in. Your Aldi snowman is very cute.
ReplyDeletePegboards can be so useful for storing stuff and keeping the floor clear and it makes life easier seeing where everything is at a glance. Hope it works for you.
The coloured lights image is lovely, all twinkly and seasonal. Love it 😁
Have a great week, my friend.
Pegboards are wonderful. I've had many in our kitchen for years and years and I jus love how easy they are to store and since I'm always making something, just overall it's better for me to have them hanging. The ones in the studio are working very, very well too!
DeleteThank you about the lights. I love this time of year. Super peaceful to look at. Wishing you a WONDERFUL week ahead!
Hi Ivy, Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving lovely comments. I appreciate the tip on preventing yeast dough from springing back. I'll try that next time.
ReplyDeleteYour snowman warmer is so cute! About my camera....it's a point & shoot one and the results are getting a little blurry. I see from your old posts that you are quite a photographer. My skills are definitely not in that department :) Have an awesome week.
Anytime, Granny Marigold. Relaxing the gluten really helps a great deal, I find. Or, sometimes there's not enough liquid in the dough as well. But often, I find if I just let the dough have a little rest.
DeleteWondering about your camera. I had my phone camera get blurry on me and it turned out, I had much on my lens. I cleaned that off and it helped. Not sure if that is the same with yours. Just tossing it out there in case.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Thanks for the tip about the cranberries at Aldi! I do love shopping there. Love your photos and Wordless Wed in fun. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThey are sooo good too. Already used up a bunch of bags. Hope you score some!
