MACRO MONDAY (free of bugs)

I found Monster Inc. minis at Five Below. Super small. Super fun. Five smackers for a box of six characters and other bits and bobs.

Below I posted the BTS and what's nice about behind the scene stuff is I get to show you how I use inverse square law to create a black background. Inverse square law is the rate at which light falls off.

In short, when my camera is set at maximum sync speed, the off-camera flash can't reach beyond the monsters, making the background look black - which also works with the DIY black photography board I placed the monsters on.

Pretty cool.

In other news, last week I bought a cheap stick blender and after a few days of playing with it, Smoochie Face ordered me the Bamix I had my eye on. The Bamix stick blender comes with useful accessories and four different blades.

I have a long list of things to make on Tuesday and plan to spend the entire day in the kitchen writing, testing and playing.

Beyond excited.

Beyond.

And that my Boogerbutts is Macro Monday for this week. If you'd like to join me in close-up photography and macros, I'd love to see your photos.

Until next time, cheers and boogie boogie.
