BOOGIE BOOGIE to all the BOOGERBUTTS

Today I'm showing off the newly cleaned out corner of the shared office/studio space. Before I cleared it, along the floor and against the walls stood wooden photography boards, bounce boards and black boards. Only my Barney Rubble feet kept knocking stuff over.

Not no more! Nooooo. Removed it all and now there's a nice empty corner lot to shoot in.

Not too shabby.

A couple of you asked to see my camera and Big Bertha. My camera is a Canon M50 with a Laowa macro lens. Camera bodies will come and go but learning light and having a good piece of glass.

Now that's the good stuff.

Big Bertha is seen best in the last photo. She's a strobe flash that fires from the trigger sitting on top of my camera. I click the shutter button and Big Bertha goes off.

Very, very, very, VERY fun to play with off-camera flash - both inside and outside. For outside I have a speedlight. Very cute. Loads of fun.

And that my brilliant and boo-teee-ful Boogerbutts is the end of my post. I'm about ready to crawl into the coffin for the night and this post, will go live at midnight.

Wishing you all a Spooktacular Halloween with a GREAT BIG side of boogie boogie.

  1. I am impressed! You are at the level of a professional photographer! I could never learn to use the kind of camera that you change the lenses.

    1. Hey Ginny. The Canon M50 is a beginner camera. Entry level and I promise you, changing lenses once done, become second nature. I be you CAN learn it if you wanted to. Thank you for the kind words, not a professional yet ... working my way there though. Thank you so much for the nice words and Happy Halloween.

  2. It's all a bit confusing to me. I'll stick with my canon on the auto setting. i haven't used her much lately though, I use my phone much more.

    1. I get that, River. I was in auto mode for a long time. But I tell you .... though I wouldn't go back and change that time with auto, learning manual mode gives us freedom to create in a way that is just so freakin' fun. If there's ever anything I can help you with, please don't hesitate to reach out.

      Happy Halloween and boogie boogie.

What did you decide to do about a new camera?

  5. Yes, you are a professional. We couldn't attempt a setup like that - there is no spare inch in this house for it.

    1. Hey Alex! Some day I will be. But not yet. Soon though. Very, very soon. Thank you for the kind words.

Understandable about the space. We're sharing an office/studio space now and it is tight. It's working though so I'm happy about that.

      Happy Weekend and boogie boogie.

    1. Thanks, Erika. Most of the photos you've seen on this page so far were all taken outside. Just this past week, I've gotten to shoot inside, which is fun. But outside is my most fave of all the sides. Happy Halloween and boogie boogie.
