Today I'm showing off the newly cleaned out corner of the shared office/studio space. Before I cleared it, along the floor and against the walls stood wooden photography boards, bounce boards and black boards. Only my Barney Rubble feet kept knocking stuff over.
Not no more! Nooooo. Removed it all and now there's a nice empty corner lot to shoot in.
Not too shabby.
A couple of you asked to see my camera and Big Bertha. My camera is a Canon M50 with a Laowa macro lens. Camera bodies will come and go but learning light and having a good piece of glass.
Now that's the good stuff.
Big Bertha is seen best in the last photo. She's a strobe flash that fires from the trigger sitting on top of my camera. I click the shutter button and Big Bertha goes off.
Very, very, very, VERY fun to play with off-camera flash - both inside and outside. For outside I have a speedlight. Very cute. Loads of fun.
And that my brilliant and boo-teee-ful Boogerbutts is the end of my post. I'm about ready to crawl into the coffin for the night and this post, will go live at midnight.
Wishing you all a Spooktacular Halloween with a GREAT BIG side of boogie boogie.

I am impressed! You are at the level of a professional photographer! I could never learn to use the kind of camera that you change the lenses.
ReplyDeleteHey Ginny. The Canon M50 is a beginner camera. Entry level and I promise you, changing lenses once done, become second nature. I be you CAN learn it if you wanted to. Thank you for the kind words, not a professional yet ... working my way there though. Thank you so much for the nice words and Happy Halloween.
DeleteIt's all a bit confusing to me. I'll stick with my canon on the auto setting. i haven't used her much lately though, I use my phone much more.
ReplyDeleteI get that, River. I was in auto mode for a long time. But I tell you .... though I wouldn't go back and change that time with auto, learning manual mode gives us freedom to create in a way that is just so freakin' fun. If there's ever anything I can help you with, please don't hesitate to reach out.
DeleteHappy Halloween and boogie boogie.
Very impressive, Ivy!!!
ReplyDeleteHelllooooo Linda. Hope last week on your birthday week it was filled with fun and yummy foods.

Your work is so good Ivy. I enjoy seeing how dedicated you are at doing things you love. Wishing you a safe Halloween night...
ReplyDeleteHey Shug. Thanks. I have a lot of interests for sure. Halloween season flew by and like you, I move straight into Christmas. Halloween away. Christmas up. It is the best. Glad to see you enjoying yourself as well.
DeleteWhat did you decide to do about a new camera?
Yes, you are a professional. We couldn't attempt a setup like that - there is no spare inch in this house for it.
ReplyDeleteHey Alex! Some day I will be. But not yet. Soon though. Very, very soon. Thank you for the kind words.
DeleteUnderstandable about the space. We're sharing an office/studio space now and it is tight. It's working though so I'm happy about that.
Happy Weekend and boogie boogie.
Very impressive. You are definitely professional level with your photography.
ReplyDeleteHey Ann! It's great fun to learn strobe inside and speedlight outside. I'm in the early stages and enjoying it. Thanks for stopping in and boogie boogie.

DeleteSo great to see where all the CAMERA MAGIC happens! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteHey Debra! Most of the magic happens outside until this week. Now I'm really, really having a good go inside as well. Happy Halloween and boogie boogie.

ReplyDeleteJust getting to work in there this last week, Marie. So far, I like it! Thanks for stopping in and boogie boogie.
DeleteI'm glad you shared that set up. It's fascinating. Now I see how you get those cool photos. Happy Halloween.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Erika. Most of the photos you've seen on this page so far were all taken outside. Just this past week, I've gotten to shoot inside, which is fun. But outside is my most fave of all the sides. Happy Halloween and boogie boogie.
DeleteWow Ivy very impressive.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween.
All the best Jan
Happy New Month, Jan!
DeleteI didn't do much of anything today.
ReplyDeleteIs that good or bad? For me, I enjoy a little veggin' time.
DeleteI barely understood a word you typed, but I'm impressed with your results.
ReplyDeleteIf there's anything I can help clear up, I'm happy to answer. Really, it's just like a remote to the TV only it fires when we hit the shutter button. But really, not much else to it. It's very cool.
DeleteThanks Ivy fir answering my question about your photo and camera gear and the the show and tell photos. Having a dedicated space to create is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have an inside space, small as it is, it works for now. Thanks for stopping in and if I can assist further, please don't hesitate to ask.
DeleteI love seeing your camera corner. That's nice -- haaving a spot that you don't have to continually put up and take down. I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteWell done!
ReplyDeleteOK so I am now a TAD Jealous, make that a lot jealous... with all this I could be very happy in my jail . Wild clapping and standing O for the little guy with white on his hands. LOVE THAT PHOTO more than Well done. Perfection

ReplyDeleteThose are GREAT photos and I love your camera corner too. Sounds like a good job well done with all the cleaning up. I have been trying to do some dusting around here but yours sounds more fun.
